Tessa walked into her apartment. Luckily, she always kept a spare key under the flower pot. Everything looked as she had left it. She got her pink fluffy slippers from the shoe rack and walked inside.
The magazines she had left on the table were still there. Tessa flopped down on the couch and placed her face in her hands.
It had been a while since she had been here, but that didn't seem to be the main problem in the room.
Tessa felt so shaken up; she had never seen that much blood in all her life. She truly didn't want to be involved with Simeon anymore.
Fortunately, she was back at the apartment. Tessa sighed and stood up. She walked toward the small corridor and headed into her bedroom.
She unbuttoned Simeon's shirt, her mind drifting back to the way he had kissed her in his study. Tessa sighed and stepped into the shower. Warm water flowed down her body, and she felt herself calm down as tiredness started to seep through her.
As she turned the tap, something flashed through her mind. Her eyes closed as she felt a headache rise. Tessa held on to the glass doors to stabilize herself. The images that were blurred and white started to clear up.
She could see her uncle's face and then her aunt's. Everything started to become clear; more memories flashed in front of her eyes for a few minutes before they stopped.
Tessa felt so drained, and her face looked so pale. She had to go to the company tomorrow.
Tessa felt that her uncle was the man who had killed her dad; the little memories she had said a lot.
In order to help Simeon, she had to first get back what belonged to her, but that would be tomorrow. With all this headache, she had to rest first.
Simeon walked into the study in his mansion. It had been years since he had lived here, but now he was forced to.
This place reminded him so much of his mom. He walked toward his desk and sat down.
Simeon sighed just as Raphael walked into the room.
"Where's your lady?"
Simeon looked up and smirked; it seemed like the original Rafael was back.
But Simeon didn't feel like talking about Tessa. He wasn't okay with the fact that she wanted to leave his side, but he knew from the beginning that he couldn't control her, just like the other girls he had met. Even if she didn't have a strong background, he wasn't planning to hold her captive."She's gone. Have you found out anything else?" Simeon replied. Rafael pulled out a pack of cigarettes and threw one Simeon's way.
"So you let her leave like that? Have you gone soft?" Simeon replied, turning to look at his best friend as he placed the cigarette in his mouth.
"Roberto wasn't the one who attacked you today," Rafael changed the topic, and Simeon nodded. Even though they were chatting mentally, he wasn't present.
He was just trying to control thoughts of his past. Rafael looked at him; he understood that Simeon didn't want to talk, so he leaned back and didn't continue.
"I will be around," Simeon spoke up as he stood, removing the unlit cigarette from his mouth and walking out. He felt a bit sad; his whole expression was cold, but deep inside, he was breaking down.
Simeon reached a certain room on the top floor. He stood at the front, staring at the door. Mentally, he was debating whether to go inside or not. A small sigh escaped his lips as he pushed the door open.
It was dark inside but perfectly clean. He closed the door and walked in. There were many paintings covered by a white cloth, but he touched none of them. He walked over to the stool and took a seat.
