Hearts always remember

The sky was cloudy and you could feel the cold and wet wind as you flew above the trees for what had now been an hour.

Far away, you began to see Zach's jet.

"There it is" you said.

You had imagined this scenario the entire night, and you knew exactly what you were going to do.

Still... Things are never guaranteed to work, and you, at that moment, were completely alone.

And you could feel it.

Everyone you loved didn't even remember you.

You were absolutely alone, with a single plan, hoping it would work, against a group of twisted people with a lot of power.

The future of the Earth was resting on your shoulders.

It was too much responsibility. It was a weight that crushed you.

But something, something you couldn't describe, made you feel like this was going to work.

That there were more on your side than theirs. And you just had to do that right.

You could see Zach's jet closer now.

Trying not to let panic and sadness overwhelm you, you flew with all your power towards the jet.

Finally, you were flying below it. You could feel the synetic energy pulling you up.

You swallowed. Your heart was racing.

This was it.

You put your hand on one of your pockets and looked for something.

A piece of your old power vest that had broken. It was a very tiny, beeping black device. You also pulled out a little piece of glass from the vest and, taking a deep breath, shoved it into your other hand with all your strength.

You screamed from pain, but it gave you the result you wanted: an amber colored substance came out of your hand, just like a tree.

So you took and threw the glass away.

You then made more effort, feeling as if you were trying to push a gigantic table, and flew with more strength to get ahead, at the tip of the jet.

You got there for a mere second and used all your muscles to take that chance and fly up until you could touch the ship's floor.

You were quickly being pulled back so you, feeling your heart would burst out of your chest, grabbed the device and used your cut hand to pressure it against the floor.

With the transparent substance coming out of your hand, the device stuck to the floor.

You let go of the device, which was now stuck under Zach's jet, and quickly flew forward and then down, while you felt as if the engines were almost able to pull your hair for a second.

But you did it.

You flew down and into the woods.

You crashed on the wet soil again.

You saw up and saw the jet fly away into the distance.

It was funny... Although you were technically alone, it was the Wild Kratts team desire to keep you safe and their love for you that would ultimately make your plan succeed.

You could feel that, although you were alone, they were with you, and would soon reunite.

You smiled.

You made an effort and got up.

"I'll watch over you too" you said.

And then, you got on all fours with your animal plant body, and began throttling and then running with all your strength forward in the opposite direction, to a place you knew was also home.
