Chapter Nineteen

It has been nine years since the moment King Sebastian showed King Michele mercy for his actions, and Duke Grant was dealt with for trying to get revenge on the Queen and King Michele. So much has changed since then. The ladies-in-waiting were thrilled to see the Queen so happy. Standing at the balcony, watching the sun rise together, the King and Queen remained the most powerful in all the kingdoms. (Queen Cara): "Do you think they are awake yet?" (King Sebastian): "Are you kidding? I bet they are on their way here right now" (Princess Savannah): "MOMMY! DADDY!" (Queen Cara): "My little princess! Where's your brother?" (Prince Christopher): "MORNING!!" These two are too precious. Princess Savannah Claire Gold-Fate is six years old and Prince Christopher Samuel Gold-Fate is four years old. They both share their mother's beautiful golden-yellow eyes and their parents' black hair. Every morning they would come running to the main bed chamber to greet their mom and dad with the biggest smiles on their faces. (Queen Cara): "Mommy has a mission for you two" (Princess Savannah): "A mission? What mommy?" (Queen Cara): "We need to get washed and dressed as quickly as we can because we have guests coming over. The first one ready gets extra dessert!" (Princess Savannah): "Chris! Hold my hand! We have to beat mommy and daddy!" They went rushing to their room but even when it came to little competitions like that, Princess Savannah would always look out for her little brother. Often times she would let him win because she hated to see him feeling down. King Sebastian kisses Queen Cara and holds her in his arms as the sun has risen. (King Sebastian): "We are having a full day today. Are you ready, my Queen?" (Queen Cara): "With you by my side, always" Everyone got dressed and ready for the day's events. When we headed downstairs, they carried the little Princess and Prince down with them. Lord Anderson was surprised with a cake to celebrate his fifty-year-old milestone. He was so grateful to everyone, especially the Queen for this special treat. Mrs Jenson always knew that Queen Cara and King Michele shared a bond that would never go away, no matter how much she convinced herself that she hated him. She was happy with her new life and her new family. There was no need for anything more. King Michele had been celebrating Prince James' tenth birthday around the same time. He often asked about his mother and King Michele would be honest with him about the things they had gone through. He wanted him to love his mother for who she was and not what she became. Despite being single, he never remarried or courted anyone. In his heart, there was only ever one person to remain deep inside to hold the keys. Whether she loved him at all or loved him from afar, knowing that she was happy was more than enough to keep him happy in his life whilst ruling the kingdom with his little boy. (Prince James): "Are you thinking about her again, daddy?" (King Michele): "Who, son?" (Prince James): "You know. The lady with the glowing eyes" (King Michele): "You are getting too smart. You know that? Come. Let's get our things ready for training" He spoke about Queen Cara with his son a few times. Never mentioned her by name but her eyes stood out to James in impeccable detail every time he told stories of their adventures together as little children. Just as things were getting started, the ladies-in-waiting were excited to see the little ones when they arrived at the castle to see the Queen's family. (Lady Hanna): "Your majesties! Your highnesses!" (Lady Antoinette): "Look how tall you're getting!" (Lady Emilia): "Don't you look handsome, little one" (Queen Cara): "Welcome ladies. It's been a while" (King Sebastian): "My darling, it has only been a few days. You are allowed to say you missed them" (Queen Cara): "You will get me into trouble, my sweetheart" Every one of them smiled with joy when seeing the couple together, and seeing the way they looked at one another. Victory was always won as long as they had each other. Then the final guests arrived, and the day could begin. (Princess Samantha): "Savannah! Christopher! Your favourite aunt is here!" (Former King Sullivan): "My son! It's so good to see you. My daughter! You look stunning!" (Queen Mother Clarissa): "The grandparents are here to say hello to the precious grand babies!" Together, they made something so powerful that nothing could break... A true family. Everybody enjoyed sharing a huge breakfast together, catching up on what had been happening with the little ones lately. Queen Cara had news to share as well, but the guests they never thought would show up actually came. King Michele walked in with Prince James and greeted everyone before heading to their seats. (Queen Cara): "Now that everyone is here. We have some news to share with you all. I know that I am nothing but dramatic" (King Sebastian): "I think the word you're looking for is passionate, my Queen" (Queen Cara): "How sweet of you. I like that. Remember that! But everyone here has met our two beautiful angels, Savannah and Christopher. Our little bundles of joy. Well, we have an unexpected little one that is going to join them too" (King Sebastian): "We are having another baby!" Everyone including the staff applauded in surprise and happiness. Even King Michele genuinely smiled as he clapped after hearing the news. He loved seeing that she was building the life she always wanted. Prince James also loved spending time with Princess Savannah and Prince Christopher. They made the best of friends. Together, they protected each other like no one else stood a chance. Whilst everybody was busy in the great room, King Michele and Queen Cara had a quick talk outside to catch the morning breeze. (King Michele): "After everything we have been through... My parents are probably turning in their graves" (Queen Cara): "They believed in abuse of power. They believed in controlling your life. You have been free of that for so long and I would do it all over again if it meant saving you from their dictatorship" (King Michele): "In another life, Queen Cara?" (Queen Cara): "In another life, King Michele" They walked back inside to where there were so many voices that it sounded like a busy workshop. King Sebastian kissed her and couldn't stop smiling. They had a beautiful baby girl, who they named Alexandria, in honour of Mrs Jenson. She was grateful to be a part of the powerful union of Aureum and Sortis.
