THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE♤

In a different part of the world, specifically in New York City, a store on Madison Avenue named Monique Lhuillier was the setting for a middle-aged woman named Arrietty Remington. She was looking at various dresses that would be suitable for a dinner party hosted by a close friend at the Mandarin Oriental, which is conveniently located next to Central Park.

Arrietty, with her usual keen eye for fashion, felt a rush of excitement as she began browsing the clothing racks, her fingers brushing against the luxurious fabrics.

The dinner party would be a momentous occasion, a celebration of camaraderie and cherished memories, and Arrietty was determined to present herself with poise and elegance.

She recalled her previous visit to the Mandarin Oriental, where the atmosphere was sophisticated and offered awe-inspiring views of the city's skyline and the dazzling radiance of Central Park.

As Arrietty delicately examined the dresses, her mind wandered to the engaging conversations she anticipated having later that evening.

After a brief search and trying on several dresses, Arrietty identified the ideal one - a stunning off-the-shoulder embroidered ball gown in a captivating shade known as Juniper. Striking blue undertones exquisitely complemented this enchanting emerald green.

Arrietty, with a heart brimming with anticipation, proceeded towards the checkout. "I believe you have finally decided on the dress you wish to purchase." The sales assistant remarked with a smile, and Arrietty couldn't help but laugh at the woman's comment.

"Certainly! This one truly captured my heart among all the dresses I tried." With a radiant smile, the sales assistant delicately placed the dress into a box and then a bag. "May I kindly enquire if you would prefer to pay with cash or a card?" Arrietty politely said she would use her card and gracefully retrieved it from her elegant handbag.

"Your total comes to $10,223.85." After gently tapping her card on the terminal, she patiently waited for the transaction to be processed. "Thank you very much." Here is your receipt. Have a delightful day!" Arrietty expressed her gratitude to the young lady, who appeared to be in her twenties, before politely exiting the boutique.

The vibrant streets of Manhattan greeted her with a warm embrace, as she eagerly looked forward to the upcoming dinner party and the potential opportunities it presented for her.

As she gracefully strolled down the street, the delicate sound of her heels tapping against the pavement echoed softly. The trees lining the sidewalk rustled softly in the light breeze, their leaves whispering secrets to one another.

The honking of car horns filled the air, while the lively discussions of pedestrians harmonized effortlessly with the joyful laughter of nearby children at play. Arrietty couldn't help but smile to herself as she approached the charming café named Ralph's Coffee, a cherished establishment she had grown fond of during her time living abroad in America.

Upon entering the café, she was greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the enticing scent of tempting pastries, prompting a contented sigh of appreciation.

"Welcome back, Ms. Remington!" One of the staff members greeted her politely. "It is a pleasure to be back. I would like to have my usual, Aria." She responded with a smile.
