♤THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE♤
Artemis arrived at the office twelve minutes ago and has already expressed a desire to retire to his bed for the remainder of the day.
The secretary, employed by his father, quickly dialled the office phone. Artemis stifled a yawn as he pressed the button to accept the call and activated the speakerphone.
"How can I help you?" He asked, his voice revealing a clear indication of fatigue and apathy.
"The monthly stock reports are in, and Mr. Martinez has requested a meeting this afternoon. Should I let him know your thoughts on his proposal?" Artemis sighed heavily, a sound that did not go unnoticed by his secretary. She had been increasingly worried about him since he came into the office.
"Please send the reports to me as soon as you can, and I will reach out to Mr. Martinez directly. " The secretary retrieved the sealed envelope containing the reports and opened the door to Artemis's office.
"Here you are, sir. Is there anything else I can assist you with?" Artemis accepted the envelope and swiftly opened it to pull out the booklet. He quickly glanced over the booklet while the secretary stood respectfully at his desk, waiting for his reply to her question.
Artemis exhaled softly as he carefully set the booklet atop the neatly arranged stack of papers, then turned his attention to his secretary.
"Could you please help me with a small favour?" I'm feeling a bit tired and would appreciate it if you could order a coffee for me from the café across the street. If you wish, you may also get yourself a drink of your choice." Artemis stood up from his desk and walked over to the couch where he had carelessly left his cross-body bag.
He began to rummage through the bag to find his wallet so he could retrieve his credit card to give to his secretary. After some time, he finally found it and approached his secretary. He handed her the credit card before returning to his desk and sitting down in his chair.
"Certainly, sir. I'll be brief. Would you like sugar or milk in your coffee?" Artemis expressed that he preferred neither, while his secretary politely bowed and left his office, donning her coat as she made her way to the elevator for the ground floor.
Artemis reclined in his chair, gazing at the ceiling as he contemplated the possibility of a quick nap. However, he was keenly aware of the consequences he could face if his father discovered him sleeping on the job, which would likely result in his father's disapproval.
He straightened his posture and retrieved the booklet he had previously laid down. He carefully examined the first page, followed by the second, and before he knew it, he had drifted off to sleep, unable to fight the powerful desire to rest.
Seventeen minutes had elapsed when Sequoia, the secretary to Artemis, found herself in the elevator, making her way to the floor where Artemis's office was located. Upon reaching her destination, she lightly tapped on the door with her free hand.
Receiving no reply, she carefully grasped the door handle and gently pushed the door open.
"I have brought your coffee." Sequoia looked over at the desk and was momentarily surprised to see her boss fast asleep, his head resting on his folded arms atop the desk.
She felt hesitant regarding her next steps but ultimately chose to walk over to his desk and set the coffee down. Afterwards, she lightly tapped him on the shoulder multiple times while calling out to him.
