They had eaten dinner with Taehyung and had enjoyed every moment of it. Taehyung had teased them both over and over again. He revealed the pictures and videos he'd taken of them on the boat, and he let himself appreciate his friends at their last dinner together before they had to return to the reality of their lives.
Jimin and Jungkook had had just enough alcohol to start feeling very silly. They got dressed in their swimwear and jumped right into the pool. The cameras were on, but they'd had enough alcohol that, at times, they forgot it was there. They joked around and kissed in the pool, made up games they found funny, and, when Jungkook remembered the cameras were there, they made funny faces and acted goofy for the cameras.
At some point, Taehyung joined them and they all played and teased as if they were school boys at the playground.
Their flirting was almost unbearable to watch at times as they splashed and played in the pool. Taehyung had to excuse himself after a particularly private moment where Jungkook had pulled Jimin above the water's surface by his hair and they discussed how much Jungkook loved to hold Jimin like that. It had been too much to hear the innuendos about his soulmate swallowing his best friend whole and how his best friend pushed his soulmate's head, gripping his hair just like that, if he didn't. It had been as if they'd forgotten everyone else was there as they stared into each other's eyes with desire and spoke in their Busan dialect. Taehyung nearly died from embarrassment when, during their underwater challenges, Jungkook had gotten a little too handsy for the cameras to show.
With so many people present, Jungkook and Jimin couldn't take their flirting further, but that didn't stop them from chasing each other around, teasing, and jumping into Jimin's bed together. Jimin wrapped his legs around Jungkook and felt the joy of the alcohol and his love for his husband bubble up in his chest. He giggled when Jungkook gripped his ankle and the pair of them fell asleep together.
When he woke up, Jungkook had found his way onto his own mattress that was in the floor. It was nothing Jimin wasn't used to, though. Jungkook would often get too hot at night or get tired of Jimin rolling around like a rotisserie chicken and find himself curling up on one of the mattresses they kept in their floors. He grinned over at his husband before rolling over to go back to sleep. In the back of his mind, he noted that Taehyung had already left. He wondered why briefly before remembering that he'd agreed to meet his girlfriend as she stopped in with her family. At some point, he woke up and climbed into Jungkook's bed to wake him up. He knew they needed to meet up with Taehyung soon.
They had a delicious breakfast, Taehyung and him teasing Jungkook together, and when they got back to the house, Jimin struggled to keep his eyes open. Jungkook grinned down at his husband from the kitchen counter. He could hardly believe after all these years that this adorable and sexy man was all his through everything.
Jimin woke to the smell of delicious food wafting over to him in the corner. They ate the soup he'd been told by Jungkook that he had to make for him because he knew he'd love it. Jimin grinned at his love. He'd been right, of course. Jimin absolutely loved the soup, though he believed it partly had to do with who cooked it for him.
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Taehyung joked after trying the soup. He knew Lisa would find this funny, but didn't count on Jimin still harboring that pang of jealousy and hurt that flitted across his face.
When the cameras were cut, he apologized to Jimin. "I'm sorry, Chim. I forget sometimes that it still hurts you. It's just been so long since fan shipping mattered to any of us. I forget that the whole 'Taekook' thing is still a thing and that you're still getting hate for it."
"It's fine," Jimin said quietly. His face said it all, though, and Taehyung's stomach twisted into knots as he hugged his favorite person in the world.
"It's not fine. I'll watch what I say more carefully. I don't want to hurt you," he whispered into Jimin's ear.
"Alright, that's enough," Jungkook scowled as he broke up the hug. "Mine," he growled out as he towed Jimin against his chest.
Jimin's misty eyes curved into his famous half-moons as he smiled wide, giggling over his husband's possessiveness. He hated to admit that it unclenched something in his chest, but he felt the worry ease out of him the moment Jungkook claimed him as his own. He internally scolded himself for still feeling jealous over a joke between his love and his soulmate. He felt downright silly. It had been over half a decade since he'd had any real concern about the two of them together, but the hurt ran deep and something still stabbed at him each time he saw a classic 'Taekook' moment. He knew the two of them were best friends, practically brothers at this point, but the only thing they ever actually fought about was over Jimin and over both of them not making time for each other.
As he and Jungkook settled in to their flight back from Jeju to Seoul, Jungkook leaned over to whisper, "I'm so glad that the next trip is just you and me. I can't wait to end our honeymoon in the place it all began."
Jimin blushed and smiled. He couldn't wait either.
