The first few days at Hogwarts flew by in a whirlwind of classes, Quidditch practice, and exciting reunions. Albus, Faith, James, and their friends settled into a routine that felt both comforting and exhilarating. However, it didn't take long for an unsettling atmosphere to seep into the castle.

As they gathered in the common room one evening, Albus noticed the tension among the students. Whispers buzzed like a swarm of bees, and furtive glances were exchanged over the fire. It was Rose who finally voiced what everyone was thinking.

"Have you all heard about the strange noises coming from the walls?" she asked, her brow furrowed. "I overheard a couple of second years talking about it."

James scoffed, waving his hand dismissively. "It's probably just Peeves causing trouble again. You know how he is."

"No, it's not just Peeves!" Faith interjected, her eyes wide with curiosity. "Some of the portraits have been acting weird too. I heard one say something about a hidden chamber."

"Hidden chamber?" Albus echoed, intrigued. "What did it mean?"

"I don't know," Faith admitted, glancing at Rose. "But it sounded serious. Maybe we should investigate."

Scorpius leaned forward, a smirk on his face. "Are you saying we should sneak around Hogwarts at night? That sounds like a recipe for disaster."

"Or an adventure!" Lily chimed in, her eyes sparkling. "I'm in! We can check it out after everyone goes to bed."

Albus hesitated. Sneaking around the castle sounded exciting, but what if they got caught? "What if we get detention?" he asked, his voice low.

"Detention is the least of our worries if there's actually something hidden in the castle," Rose countered, determination in her tone. "Besides, we're Gryffindors! We're supposed to be brave."

"Alright, then," Albus said, feeling a rush of adrenaline. "Let's meet in the common room after curfew. We'll check it out."

That night, as the castle settled into its usual quiet, Albus felt a mix of excitement and nerves. After sneaking down the stairs, he met Faith, James, Lily, Rose, and Scorpius in the common room. The fire crackled softly, illuminating their determined faces.

"Do we have a plan?" Scorpius asked, adjusting his glasses.

Faith nodded, her expression serious. "We should start near the trophy room. That's where I heard the noises coming from."

As they slipped out of the portrait hole and into the dimly lit corridors, Albus couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. The shadows seemed to stretch and twist as they made their way through the castle, the air thick with anticipation.

They reached the trophy room, and Faith carefully pushed the door open. Inside, the room was silent, the gleaming trophies and plaques standing in stark contrast to the eerie atmosphere.

"Listen," Faith whispered, holding up a hand. They all paused, straining their ears. Faint murmurs echoed through the walls, barely audible but unmistakably present.

"What is that?" Lily asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"Is it coming from the wall?" Rose pointed toward a section that seemed to ripple slightly, as if the stones themselves were alive.

Albus stepped closer, his heart racing. "Let's see if we can find out what it is."

As they approached the wall, the murmurs grew louder, transforming into indistinct whispers. It felt as if the very stones were sharing secrets with them. Albus pressed his ear against the cold stone, and in that moment, a chilling realization struck him.

"It sounds like a warning," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "Like something is trying to tell us to leave."

Suddenly, a loud crash resonated from behind them, causing them all to jump back. They turned to see a suit of armor toppling over, its metal clang echoing ominously in the otherwise silent room.

"Run!" James shouted, grabbing Albus's arm as they bolted out of the trophy room, their footsteps echoing in the corridor.

They raced through the dark halls, hearts pounding, laughter and shouts bubbling up from the thrill of their escape. But as they skidded around a corner, they skidded to a halt in front of an unfamiliar door.

"Where are we?" Albus panted, his breath coming in gasps.

Faith's eyes darted around, her expression a mixture of fear and excitement. "I don't know, but we can't stay here. We need to find a way back!"

Just then, Albus noticed a flicker of movement at the edge of his vision. "What was that?" he whispered, pointing toward a shadowy figure disappearing down the corridor.

"Let's follow it," Rose suggested, her eyes gleaming with determination.

Against his better judgment, Albus nodded, and they ventured down the corridor, led by the mysterious figure. The whispers from the walls faded, replaced by an eerie silence that wrapped around them like a shroud.

As they turned a corner, the figure stopped, revealing a tall, hooded figure standing before a stone wall. It turned slightly, and Albus caught a glimpse of its face—pale and etched with worry.

"What are you doing here?" the figure asked, their voice low and urgent.

Before Albus could respond, the figure stepped closer, and the light of the moon illuminated the wall behind them, revealing strange runes glowing faintly.

"This is dangerous," the figure warned, looking around nervously. "You shouldn't be here. Leave while you can!"

Albus felt a mix of fear and intrigue. "Who are you?" he demanded, his voice steady despite the tremor in his hands.

The figure hesitated, then pulled back its hood, revealing a familiar face. "I'm Iris. I came here looking for answers, just like you."

The name sparked recognition, and Albus exchanged glances with Faith and the others. Iris was a former student who had graduated last year, known for her intelligence and knack for uncovering secrets.

"What do you mean answers?" Faith asked, her curiosity piqued. "What's going on?"

Iris took a deep breath, her expression grave. "There's something hidden in these walls. Something that could put Hogwarts in danger. You need to help me figure it out."

Albus felt a thrill of excitement mixed with fear. They were being drawn into something much bigger than they had anticipated.

"Alright," Albus said, determination settling in his chest. "What do we need to do?"
