The following week at Hogwarts felt charged with tension. Whispers of a dark force rising spread throughout the school like wildfire. Albus, Faith, Lily, and James gathered in their usual spot in the Great Hall, their meals forgotten as they strategized their next steps.

"We need to figure out who can help us," Albus said, scanning the bustling room filled with students. "We can't take on this dark wizard alone."

Lily nodded, pushing her hair behind her ear. "Maybe we could approach some of the older students? They might have experience dealing with dark magic."

"Or the professors," James suggested, his eyes brightening. "If we explain what's happening, they might be able to give us some guidance or even help us look into this dark wizard."

"Let's start with Professor McGonagall," Faith said, her tone resolute. "She's wise and has seen a lot. If anyone can help us, it's her."

After lunch, the four friends made their way to the staff room, where Professor McGonagall was grading papers. They knocked on the door, and she looked up, her eyes widening slightly at the sight of them.

"Come in, come in," she said, motioning for them to enter. "What brings you here?"

Albus stepped forward, his heart racing. "Professor, we've discovered something concerning. There's talk of a dark force rising, and we believe it's connected to a dark wizard from the past who sought the Serpent's Heart."

McGonagall's expression turned serious as she set her quill down. "The Serpent's Heart? That is a serious matter. I suggest you tell me everything you've uncovered."

A Cautious Plan

The group recounted their findings, from the tales of the dark wizard to the shadowy figure they had seen. McGonagall listened intently, her brow furrowing in concern.

"Indeed, this is troubling news," she said thoughtfully. "I will speak with the other professors, and we'll need to keep a close watch on any unusual activity within the school. For now, I suggest you all remain vigilant and continue your research. Knowledge is your greatest weapon."

"Thank you, Professor," Faith said, feeling a surge of gratitude. "We'll do our best to gather more information."

As they left the staff room, Albus felt a renewed sense of purpose. "We need to reach out to our classmates, too. The more allies we have, the better."

They decided to split up again, each taking a different group of students to gather support. Faith headed toward the Slytherin table, her heart pounding. She had heard some of the Slytherins discussing the shadows and dark forces, and she hoped to find common ground.

Reaching Out

"Hey, Faith!" A familiar voice called out. It was Scorpius, his silver-blonde hair gleaming in the candlelight. "What are you doing over here?"

"I wanted to talk to some of your friends," Faith replied, glancing at the other Slytherins, who were eyeing her with suspicion. "There's something serious going on at Hogwarts, and we could use your help."

Scorpius exchanged glances with his friends before nodding. "What do you know?"

"Enough to know that we're not just dealing with a legend," she said, lowering her voice. "There's a dark wizard who wants to revive an ancient evil, and it's tied to the Serpent's Heart. We need to stand together to protect our home."

A hush fell over the Slytherin table, and Faith could see curiosity and concern flickering in their eyes. After a moment, Scorpius stood taller. "If it's true, then we need to unite. The legacy of Slytherin and Gryffindor doesn't have to be a rivalry; it can be a partnership."

A Gathering of Allies

Meanwhile, Albus and Lily approached the Ravenclaw table, where a group of students were huddled around a book. "Hey, can we talk to you guys?" Albus asked, his voice steady.

"What's up?" one of the Ravenclaws replied, adjusting her glasses.

"We need your help," Lily said, her expression earnest. "There's a dark force rising, and we're trying to gather allies to fight against it. Your knowledge and skills could really make a difference."

The Ravenclaws exchanged glances, and one of them, a tall girl with dark hair, nodded. "We're in. We've heard whispers about something sinister in the castle. We'll help you with research and spreading the word."

With their allies in Ravenclaw and Slytherin on board, the group regrouped in the Gryffindor common room later that evening. Excitement buzzed in the air as they shared their success.

"Now we need a plan," James declared, bouncing on his heels. "Let's meet tomorrow and brainstorm how we can gather more support. We need to ensure everyone knows what's at stake."

"Agreed," Albus said, feeling the weight of responsibility settle on his shoulders. "We're stronger together."
