Valerie and Rafe both have made it safely to his home in Guadeloupe. She couldn't deny that the house was everything she dreamed of. It was right by the ocean and no houses were near it, making everything seem more peaceful. One thing both of them weren't expecting was that Ward had woken up by the time they got there.
„Listen, I understand the risks involved with selling the cross, okay? I saw an opportunity and I took it. That's it." Rafe explained to his dad while Valerie sat in one of the blue chairs, listening to the conversation. „And I thought that you would wake up, and I would tell you that it was taken care of. And I don't know, maybe you'd be proud of me or something because you know- I'm the one who brought it home."
Valerie's heart ached for Rafe. She knew what he tried to do was just to impress his father and make him love him more. „Jesus Rafe." Ward sighed putting his glass of water down.
„And now I just feel like an idiot." Rafe continued to talk, obviously his mouth moving faster than his brain, however Valerie understood him better than anyone.
„Rafe, stop it! You're not an idiot-„
„I feel like and idiot and-„
„I went down, you stepped up. I'm just glad you're okay, you understand? Both of you." Ward looked between me and Rafe. „It's you're first big deal, all right. I remember mine. It didn't go well either." He spoke, holding onto his walking stick. „I could have told you, it's Barbados. Carlos Singh does what he wants there."
Rafe took a deep sigh, clearly upset with him self that his plan didn't go well. „It's okay." Ward reassured him. „Yeah." Rafe nodded before taking a seat next to his dad.
„There's something I need both of you to do for me right now, okay?" Rafe immediately turned to his dad. „Name it."
„I need you to go back to the Outerbanks." Ward began. Rafe and Valerie eyed each other, remembering that they forgot to mention they intended to go there anyway.
„Kildare. There's nothing there for us, not anymore." Ward shook his head, looking at the ground. „I need you to wrap everything up for me, all right? I need you to sell the businesses, sell the rental properties. I need you to sell Tannyhill." He shut his eyes, regretting his words but he knew it had to be done.
„Wait- we're selling Tannyhill, is that what you said?" Rafe shifted in his seat.
„Yeah." Ward nodded.
„Why?" Rafe stuttered. „What are you talking about?"
„It's not our home anymore, Rafe. This is." He said referring to Guadeloupe. „This is our home now. And it's a clean slate. A new beginning, a new path. And I need you to take the bigger role, all right? Can I count on you for that?"
„Of course, yes. Of course, Dad." Rafe replied.
Valerie knew it wasn't going to happen, something would go wrong. They were planning on returning to Kildare and starting their book again, now that Ward was telling them it wasn't going to happen, something twisted in Valerie's head. How were they going ro live with that?
„All right, listen I got some papers inside, I'll go get them, we can go over them. I'll tell you what to do and while you're gone, I am going to be taking that cross and looking into it. We have that cross because of you. You got it for us, you saved it. I just need you to be careful."
Valerie rolled her eyes, listening to what Ward was saying. He didn't give a shit about Rafe, all he cared about was the money. „You get in there, handle business, and you get back here safe. All right? You're a Cameron." Ward smiled while patting his shoulder. „That still means something." He made his way back in the house and immediately Rafe had turned to Valerie.
„So what are you going to do now?" He sighed, looking at the red-head. „Let's just do what he told you to do, I don't want you to cross paths again now that you and your dad are getting along." Valerie turned her head to the boy, a slight sympathetic smile tugging on her lips.
Rafe wrapped his arms around Valerie while placing his chin on the top of her head. They both stayed like that for what felt like hours but in reality was just seconds, missing each others presence. „Wanna take a shower?" Valerie mumbled against his chest. She didn't have to even look up to know that Rafe had a smirk spread across his face by now. „You don't have to ask me twice."

The warm water ran down Valerie's body, she missed the feeling of warm water. She had gone months without a nice shower and some alone time, well... not for much long but she for sure was not complaining. She could feel Rafe's figure behind her as he stepped into the shower.
Within seconds a pair of strong arms wrapped around her waist gently and his head found its way between her shoulder and neck. „I missed you so much, Val." Rafe mumbled against her skin.
„You know what I missed?" Valerie said while turning around. „Yeah?" Rafe stood tall with a smile on his face. Valerie bit down on her lip, trying to hide the smile forming on her mouth. „Hot showers." She chuckled before turning around once again and reaching for the soap.
She felt his hand wrap around the back of her neck, causing her to slightly jump. „What about me, did you miss me?" He spoke lowly into her ear. She couldn't help the shivers going down her spine and the butterfly's forming in her stomach. „Did you miss me more than warm showers?" He said before gently placing soft kisses on her neck.
Her eyes shut close, missing the feeling of his lips on her skin. She nodded to his words, he had no clue how much she had missed him. „I need words, Princess." He whispered.
„Yes, I've missed you, more than anything." She replied. Rafe's hand left her neck and slowly traveled down her arm, and then traced over her stomach up to her breasts. „Rafe-„ she gasped, feeling his hand cup her.
„What, love? What do you want?" He kissed her shoulder. His hands moved to her waist before turning her around to face him.
„You. I want you." She said. They wasted no second to connect their lips. Her hands found his head, pushing him closer to her and deepening the kiss. Rafe pinned her gently against the glass frame, making sure nothing would have hurt her. She loved how gentle he was with her, at least now. She was sure this was going to be one of the best times in her life, she wasn't going to leave after, she wasn't just waiting for it to happen, it wasn't just for fun. They missed each other, their hunger for each other grew each day. And god, they were definitely going to express it now.
His hands roamed around her body while his lips went down her jaw to her neck. „Fuck, I've missed you. I missed this." He breathed against her skin. One of his hands slid down her thigh and pulled it up so she could wrap it around his waist. Before anything else could happen, he moved his head back and looked at his girlfriend in front of him.
„Are you sure about this?" He pulled her closer, waiting for an answer. „More than anything." She smiled, impatient for contact. Rafe never moved his eyes away from her as he got him self ready. And they never left either once he pushed him self inside of her.
Valerie's mouth gaped open, the feeling of him filing her pleased each part of her body. Once he began to speed up, she couldn't contain her moans that filled his ears. Her nails dug into his back while he thrusted into her, both of them breathing heavily and occasionally giving each other kisses.
The sight of him was just enough for her to finish, however she tried her best to not let it go. His hands were glued to the glass behind her, each hand on each side of her. The warm water that was pouring onto their body's ran down their skin. He could feel Valerie's leg slide down him, unable to hold it up much longer. He lifted it back up and left his hand on her thigh while picking up his pace.
„Fuck, yes." She cried out.
„That's right." Rafe breathed out. „Scream for me, baby."
