THE SUNLIGHT SHON onto
Valerie's face. Her eyes slowly began to flatter open while she stretched out her arms. The familiar feeling of Rafe's arms draped over her waist caused a small smile to creep onto her face.
She slowly turned around in her spot, getting a better look at the man next to her. Her heart melted when she saw his eyes closed and his lips slightly apart.
Her hand found its way to the back of his head, gently scratching it.
"Morning, Love." Rafe yawned, his sleepy voice creating butterflies in Valerie's stomach.
"Morning. How'd you sleep?"
"So much better with you." He answered while pulling her closer and placing his head in between her shoulder and neck.
"I missed waking up next to you."
"Love, you've already woken up next to me yesterday."
"I know, but waking up next to you is something I could do everyday." She exaggerated, earning a small laugh from the sleepy Rafe.
"Get used to it. I'm not letting you go no where anymore. You've caused me too much stress."
Valerie let out a chuckle and smiled to herself. She missed the talks with Rafe and getting to cuddle him whenever she felt like it. It's been absolute chaos without him.
"I have to take a shower, want to join?" A small smirk plastered in Rafe's face as he leaned away from the ginger-haired girl. Her eyes playfully rolled before answering him back. "Maybe tonight. I don't feel like it right now. I feel like absolute shittt" She spoke while rubbing her eyes.
"Alright. Do you need anything? Water? A bowl incase you feel unwell? A snack?" He began to list out.
"No, thank you. I'm alright." She smiled at him.
Rafe returned the smile before placing a kiss on her forehead and jumping out of the bed to go and take a shower.
Valerie glanced over at her phone, which laid on the nightstand. She began to get more tempted to finally reach back to JJ after the countless amount of messages and calls.
She sighed, reaching for the phone and opening up the unread messages from JJ. Once she saw them, her heart sank. She lifted her upper body up faster than light, reading the text's from JJ.
