Rafe Cameron
"Rafe, wait." Rose stopped Rafe from walking out the front door. "I just talked to Sarah."
"She said there's a dead body in the truck, right?" He beat her to the sentence. "Yeah." He said while turning around to face Rose. Her face was full of fear and confusion. "Thats Renfield. I didn't do shit." Rafe spoke while taking three steps towards her. "I didn't do shit. Okay? Limbrey shot him. I took the truck, and I left the old lady at the hanger. All right? I got the cross for all of us, okay? I did! And I was just getting ready to take care of Renfield when you came up. You should be... you should be thanking me."
A moment of silence surrounded the room before Rose spoke up, this time much more quietly. "Do what you have to do with the body. Get the cross to the wharf." She said.
A smirk grew on Rafe's face as he nodded. "I'm on it." Before he could leave, Rose stopped him a second time.
"Rafe, what about Valerie? I could give her some pills, like I did with Sarah, if she sees her she won't want to come with us."
"No." He quickly stopped her. "Don't lay a finger on her. I'll come back for her, if you'd do what you did with Sarah, Valerie would hate me forever."
"Okay." Rose nodded, watching as her step-son left the house.

Valerie's eyes flattered open, her attention focusing on the room she was in. She fell asleep. Her head snapped to the direction on the clock. 4.12am. She was asleep for at least a good five hours.
Before she was about to sit up, the door opened, revealing Rafe. "Your up." He spoke softly.
"Where were you?" Valerie sat up, her eyes focusing on him. She wasn't sure if he had just gotten back or was just waiting until she woke up.
"Don't worry." He said, walking over to her. "How do you feel?"
"Better." Valerie smiled softly, pulling onto his shoulders, causing him to come closer to her. He supported his weight on the bed, each hand on either side of Valerie, a smirk growing on his face.
Her lips met his, what felt like heaven. She missed kissing someone she felt safe around. She never wanted this to end. Soon, it would be like that.
"We have to go now." Rafe said after pulling away from her. "Just a few more hours and you'll be tangled in bed with me, I promise." He smiled, taking her hand and pulling her out of the bed.
Both of them grabbed all the things that they had packed and ready to go. It felt like ages, getting everything into the truck.
After ten minutes they were on their way to the wharf. Valerie couldn't help but wonder if the pogues were after her. Were they even looking for her?
Before she knew it they were already at the wharf. Rafe helped Valerie to get out of the truck, before he called over some men to get a large crate up in the air. She guessed it was the cross.
It was over.
She watched as the crate got smaller as it got pulled up. A smile tugged on Rafe's lips as he watched it too. "Rafe, the cross was a bad idea." Valerie turned to him.
