"Happy Birthday Olivia" Declan's voice comes out in a whisper against Liv's neck, kissing down lightly as she smiles, she isn't sure when things like this with Declan made her smile, but apparently now she was twenty-nine she had become a bit soppy.

He had already wished her a happy birthday at midnight before Liv told him to be super quiet as she heard Celeste stumbling through the door and heading to her room, but not before she stopped outside of Liv's door to listen in, to see if her best friend was awake to fill her in about her night.

However they had stayed quiet for a little while longer, until she got back on top of him and rode him in the darkness. He felt smug. He felt so smug that he had slept with her on both sides of midnight now, meaning he was the last person who had not only touched her or kissed her as a twenty-eight year old but also spoken to her, he was her last memory of that age. And also her first memory into her birthday.

They had fallen asleep spooning with her ignoring that swirling in her stomach from the way his arms felt wrapped around her, or his breath upon her cheek. And now as the sun was just starting to rise in the sky, after Declan had silenced the alarm that he had set for them both, she still had that same feeling in her stomach, but she kind of liked it.

"Thank you" she tells him as she turns to face him, his lips crashing into hers, ignoring the morning breath that would normally stop him from doing this on those very rare occasions when he would have wake up after dozing off at some girls place, although if he was being truthful it was more the intimacy of it all.

But with Liv he didn't care, he didn't feel that same feeling. He wanted to take any chance he got to be with her, to kiss her, touch her, cherish her, whatever she allowed, he was happy to oblige.

As his lips pull away from hers she smiles at him again as he speaks "really wish I could go and make you a birthday breakfast in bed" his hand coming up to brush her hair from her face.

"What would you make me?" she smiled as his grin got wider now.

"Probably my famous molten chocolate pancakes" he tells her as her face lights up "with that same chocolate sauce that I use on your favourite cake".

Liv had tried those pancakes before, in fact she had helped him to perfect the recipe last year and put it up on her vlog when he did a guest segment, it brought so many people into the pub for the next month or so, desperate to try the brunch special.

"Wish you were making my birthday cake" she admits, before really thinking about what she said as he grins at her.

"Why didn't you ask?" he whispers, feeling his heart swell "you know I would have in a heartbeat".

I'd do anything for you in a heartbeat, he thinks.

"CeeCee arranged it all, didn't want to tell her that I didn't need some expensive cake, I just needed yours" she whispers back.
