Chapter 15: Return to Paris
Ren POV
I sat quietly in the luxurious cabin of Fil private jet, staring blankly out the window at the clouds drifting by. My heart felt like it was sinking deeper with each passing minute, even though everything around me screamed luxury. The reality of my decision was beginning to settle in, and it was suffocating.
I chose Fil.
I had to, didn't I? To protect Friend, to keep him safe from the wrath I knew Fil could unleash without a second thought. But now, as we soared towards Paris, I couldn't shake the feeling that I had just given up something much bigger-my freedom.
"You've made the right decision, honey," Fil voice broke through my thoughts, soft but commanding. He sat beside me, his hand resting on mine. I couldn't tell if it was meant to comfort me or to remind me of the control he now had over my life.
I forced a smile but said nothing, my gaze fixed on the horizon. This wasn't the Paris I had dreamed about. This wasn't the life I had imagined for myself.
Fil POV
As I watched Ren sit there in silence, I felt a surge of satisfaction. She had finally accepted it. She was mine now, completely. It had taken time, and yes, force, but that didn't matter. What mattered was that she had chosen me. She belonged to me, and no one-especially not that so-called "friend"-would stand between us anymore.
I looked at her, knowing she was still struggling with her decision, but she would come to understand soon enough. She just needed time to adjust, to realize that I could give her everything she ever wanted. And I would-on my terms.
"We're going to make a life together in Paris," I told her, my voice firm. "You'll see, Ren. It's for the best."
Her silence didn't bother me. I had the patience to wait for her to come around. She always did.
Ren POV
When we finally touched down in Paris, it didn't feel like the city of romance and freedom I had once dreamed of. Instead, it felt more like a beautiful cage. Fil hand tightened around mine as we stepped out into the awaiting car, his grip firm but not harsh. He was leading me, guiding me-owning me.
The drive to his estate was a blur. I couldn't focus on anything but the crushing reality of my new life. As we pulled up to his mansion just outside the city, I was hit with the grandeur of it all-the sprawling gardens, the towering windows, the perfect symmetry. Everything was breathtaking, yet it all felt wrong.
Fil led me inside, his arm draped around me. "You'll love it here," he said confidently, as if that would erase the unease I felt. His voice was laced with satisfaction, like a man who had just won his prize.
I glanced around at the grand hallways and lavish decorations, but all I could think about was how far I was from the life I had imagined for myself. The freedom I thought I had earned was now gone. I had traded it for security-for someone else's safety, not my own.
Fil POV
As we entered the house, I felt a sense of pride wash over me. This was her new life, and she'd learn to love it. She had to. I had given her everything-more than she could have ever had with anyone else. She was mine now, and no one would take her from me.
Pulling her into the bedroom, I brushed a strand of hair from her face, looking into her eyes. "You're mine now," I whispered. Her resistance was still there, but it was fading. I could see it. Soon, she would give in completely. I'd make sure of it.
"I'll make sure you never regret choosing me," I murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. Her body tensed slightly, but I didn't mind. She'd adjust.
Ren POV
His words sent a chill through me, even though he said them with affection. I wanted to pull away, but I knew I couldn't. I had made my choice, and now, I had to live with it.
Paris wasn't my escape anymore. It was my prison.
I just didn't know if I had the strength to break free.
