powerful dragon 強力なドラゴン
History tells a story of a great beast which was born in the Heian era. It was a beast conceived in the crux of a battle between two great sorcerers who lost control of their cursed energy after being overwhelmed with personal feelings during the duel. In that moment a gap opened between our realm and the realm of hell and from it the arms of the demon emerged. It sunk its vile claws into the earth and hoisted itself from its desolate home and into the land of the living. At the time, it took the form of a great dragon with many arms, a twisting body and four piercing yellow eyes. And it set its deathly gaze upon the sorcerers.
No matter what technique or attack they used, they could not kill the dragon. Even if they reduced it to ash, the moment they turned their backs it was once again behind them with its jaws wide open. It is no surprise they died to its wrath shortly after it was awakened.
The dragon remained quiet after that for many years, wandering the lands, seas and skies and avoiding confrontation with the race of man. It laid waste to the hoards of soldiers and sorcerers sent to kill it and no matter how much damage was inflicted onto it, it did not die. Instead it would reappear completely unscathed a few moments later and continue the battle. The demon quickly grew tired of these trivial fights and changed its form; it became a beautiful and tall woman, with flowing and thick, long hair, the fine clothes of gentry and its unmistakeable golden glare.
Amidst the panic of the commoners in the various villages, the elders and leaders came together to devise a plan in hopes of protecting their people. They sent a young, unarmed boy who to the cave where they believed it slept- in hopes of simply talking to it. The boy was chosen well: he was driven and intelligent. Armed with his mind only, he placed his life in the hands of fate and met with the great curse, who maintained its womanly form. Together they discussed, and the boy learnt that the demon wished not to harm and ravish the villages- and instead wished to be left in peace to wander the earth, bored of claiming so many simple lives. The boy listened as the beast began to ramble about how bland it was to have waves of such weak humans come knocking. It longed to play with the powerful curses and sorcerers, but found itself out of luck: the world of jujutsu knew better than to darken her doorstep.
The elders did not like what the boy had told them. They called for her to be put to death and they summoned the most powerful jujutsu sorcerers they could find, pitching their plan to execute the beast only to be shot down. After a while of bargaining, a deal was made. The most powerful sorcerer at the time was sent to collect the beast, bringing it down from its mountain after diffusing its power using talismans wrapped around its wrists. Other sorcerers were sent to cast protective veils over holy shrines, temples and various other important locations to prevent it from entering. Once all the preparations were made, it was told to leave the village it was in and wander the land freely as long as it caused no harm to innocent humans or sorcerers again. It is a shame its first hour of life without persecution was interrupted by a flaming commotion.
It was jaw-dropping; the speed at which the village erupted into flames was incomprehensible. The demon watched in awe as an invisible forced mowed down the village folk, leaving a sea of mutilated parts and blood in its wake. With a few more moments, the screams died down and the last drop of blood was spilt. Quiet but heavy footsteps sounded behind the beast, but it did not turn around- knowing it was unable to fight with the talismans wound around its wrists.
'dismantle' a deep voice cut through the silence somewhere not far behind it. It felt that its torso was detached from its legs, but was reattached and restored to perfect condition before it could fall off.
'huh?'
