Sukuna grunted at the sight of y/n. He was clearly busy venting his frustrations by army-charging through the forest towards his residence- and now he finds out that the one who frustrated him in the first place has been following him the whole time?
'is this some sort of punishment from above? why must you cling to me like some bad smell?' Sukuna asked through gritted teeth. Y/n snickered in response, already knowing what she was going to say. 'So you admit you smell unpleasant?' Sukuna's jaw dropped as he tried to suppress a gasp at the mouthy nature of the wench before him 'No, I'm saying you are like a bad smell, you imbecile'. He enunciated his words as if he were explaining to a child, glaring down at the woman who took another daring step through the snow towards him. 'hmmmm.. no i do believe you said you smell ba-'
'cleave' Y/n didn't even get to finish her sentence before she was chopped into a hundred perfect cubes.
Sukuna gave one final nod as he observed the unmoving chunks and blood before him, feeling rather pleased with himself. Unfortunately, right as he turned on his heel to continue on his way, he heard delicate crunches in the snow. He could guess exactly who that was. Sukuna cried out with pure anger.
'Why are you following me on my way!? Begone this instant!' His crimson eyes burnt into her soul and for a solid moment the palpable fear in her heart seized her body and caused her to stumble backwards. Sukuna's furious eyes cooled and he exhaled a short breath. Finally, she was showing him the reaction he deserved. They stood in silence for a moment, and strangely enough Sukuna did not find that his mind welcomed the emptiness of the air anymore. It was too quiet. He snarled quietly, outraged at his brain's disobedience- though he also decided to fill the silence in the end. 'I asked you a question.' His statement was dressed with a cold and authoritative tone: just was y/n needed to kickstart her rebellious tongue and confident heart, which had stopped beating a few minutes ago when he truly stared into her eyes for the second time since they'd met. She stumbled over her tongue for a moment before replying.
'I'd like to see where you go. It is my first day utterly free, after all. I'd like to start learning about the world as soon as possible' she put on a taunting tone as she continued 'if that's alright with you, O mighty Sukuna' The sorcerer bit his tongue to prevent himself from retorting as he sized her up. Her looks and build must've surely been heavily coveted by the humans who encountered her, even with her four eyes and admittedly chilling aura. Psshh- she was nothing compared to the group of concubines he had! totally! And despite how much he wished to crack her defiant front and have her beg for him, she enraged him too much to gift her the privilege of becoming a concubine of his. She probably wouldn't get along with them either. They were all very conceited and vicious- so well-read and yet so insolent and unaware. Not truly intelligent enough for her to be around. Huh? Sukuna's train of thought derailed violently as he reminded himself that she was not intelligent and instead just very witty. He then got back on track.
Y/n was tall, but still at least a foot shorter than him- no surprise considering he stood at a dizzy height of seven feet- and she had a build that seemed battle-worthy, but who was he kidding? she was a woman, for starters, and she couldn't exercise her demonic powers with those talismans! Sukuna knew he wouldn't be able to remove them, considering they were designed to work with a power that wasn't cursed energy and therefore the jujutsu that he knew would be of no use to remove them. Perhaps she could work as.. as a... His mind went blank. Y/n, who was sick of staring at his thinking face, piped up. 'Do you have a library? Or a space to train in?' She tugged him out of his head and he chuckled arrogantly at her question. 'You really do know very little of this world. Of course i have both facilities; it is standard for people with residences like mine. Why do you ask, wench?' Y/n grumbled at the demeaning nickname but recalled how he had refrained from biting back at her earlier, and so let it slide. 'Well, i'll be putting them to good use then!- 'huh?!-' 'it's not exactly as if you can stop me! It'll be as if im not even there' 'it better be..'With her manners overshadowed by her excitement, y/n hastily invited herself into Sukuna's castle. Sukuna simply grumbled to himself, swiping his hand to 'execute' her despite the fact it was futile. He just wanted to express his annoyance. He also trusted that the moment she reappeared she'd trace his footsteps as he made his way to his residence.
Y/n had been deprived of this excitement for so long, she could barely restrain herself from sprinting ahead and tugging Sukuna along so that they could arrive as soon as possible, however she knew that if she were to successfully maintain this arrangement she would have to behave. When she first arrived on this plane, y/n was an unbridled power, however each day she spent in her human form slowly tamed her and supressed that undying force within her. She was quietly hoping that the vast library Sukuna had would contain a shred of knowledge about how she could break her talismans- or better yet, get back home. Each day away from home slowly chipped away at her, but she was gifted with ignorant bliss to that for the moment. Y/n just knew she was starting to feel a little lonely, having been locked away in the dark for so long. Hopefully Sukuna would get used to her playfulness with time.
Perhaps he was lonely too.
