With a wave of his hand, Sukuna reduced the remnants of the village around them to ash, fully flattening the land. He lent the woman a final sneer before turning his back upon her to stride away. For the first time during his reign of terror, Sukuna felt that his ego had been bruised. How dare she show him such attitude? especially considering she held no power comparable to his own! He didn't believe for a second that this was the hell born beast the curses whispered of. she was just some woman. An annoying, weak, bratty woman who just so happened to have been gifted a sharp tongue and an unearthly beauty! Sukuna paused, shaking his head as he continued to walk as a means of physically discarding the thought of her 'beauty'. She was nothing compared to his concubines. she was deformed after all- no beautiful human woman has four eyes like hers. her golden four- or piss yellow, the way Sukuna saw it.
The man huffed yet again with annoyance. he had been storming away through the forest for an hour now, and his angry pace still had not let up. he was brimming with furiousness still. After all the lives he had claimed, all the gold he had pillaged, all the great sorcerers he had bested he was unable to execute some measly woman! it enraged him! He shivered gently, the cold snow beneath him numbing his feet. He rubbed his hands together without pausing his strides, only to be frozen still when a frustratingly familiar voice sounded behind him.
'it's far warmer to walk through here with my twelve layers on, that's for certain' Sukuna sighed loudly and turned around, his head lolling around as if it were being weighed down with his annoyance.
Y/n had been silently tracking him through the forest ever since he had stepped foot out of the village. It had been so long since she'd met any sorcerers looking for trouble- let alone one with such bone-chilling power; she had to follow him. Perhaps he would lead her to more sorcerers? Or, knowing very well about men of his.. kind, perhaps she would be led to a vast residence, with a castle! It wasn't a far-fetch to assume someone of Sukuna's calibre would live in a luxurious residence. She couldn't stop the playful smirk that danced on her lips as she observed his grumpy expression. Something about his constantly grinding gears really ignited an excitement in her and she had been deprived of such small sparks of joy in her life for a very long time.
Ever since she was ripped away from her home and brought to this plane, her life had been fruitless and saddening. At first, she took pleasure in challenging herself against formidable opponents- however once the battle was complete she'd be drowned in silence yet again. Once man's persecution of her truly rained down over her life any excitement or joy was squeezed from it completely. She did not wish to kill innocents if she were to get lost in her wrath. She didn't wish to kill anyone, not really. So instead she found herself confined to the shadows, yearning to wander the earth and seek out knowledge; to train her abilities and to eventually find a way back home. Y/n was so lonely here.
Perhaps Sukuna had a great library in that castle of his?
That's why she followed him. Definitely.
