MADELINE HAD MANAGED to convince Tom to come to a fundraising fair that her sixth form was hosting. She had told him all the old parents would be there so he'd fit right in and he'd given her the cold shoulder for at least ten minutes after that comment. It was so worth it, though.

Madeline is wearing some low rise jeans and a black jacket with a white tee that has silver sequins spelling out the word angel across her chest. Tom walks beside her, his arm slung over her shoulders wearing baggy black jeans and a large white 50 Cent tee. He's wearing black sunglasses and his usual black bandana tied around his cornrows.

"Wow, you actually got him to come?" Eryn smirks when she sees the pair approaching her at one of the food stalls. Harriette is behind her buying some chips for them to share and Madeline grins, looking up at Tom who sighs, accepting his fate.

"I could be doing so many other things with my valuable time right now."

"Like what?" Madeline asks with a laugh. "Loner activities. Tom, you don't have any friends."

"Well, that's just not true." Tom scoffs, shaking his head and Madeline gives him a pointed look. "I have friends in Germany and Tokyo!"

"Yet, you're living in London, Tom." Madeline raises an eyebrow and Tom simply rolls his eyes, pulling her further into his side with a smirk. "Everyone and their mother is here, literally." Madeline shudders, glancing around at the teenagers and parents and other relatives.

"I know, it's giving me major social anxiety." Harriette sighs, looking around too. "I don't know like ninety five percent of these people."

"Yeah, but you look stunning so, does it matter?" Eryn grins and Madeline smiles at the pair. "So, I'm thinking we do the Ferris Wheel now?"

"Huh?" Tom says quickly, snapping into the conversation. "No, no, no." He shakes his head. "You never said anything about forcing me into any rides."

"It's a slow ride." Madeline looks at him with pleading eyes. "You drive cars like a maniac and you're scared of fairground rides?"

"They come out of a literal box, Mads."

"But, that's why they're fun!" Madeline wraps her arm around his back, pulling him along after Eryn and Harriette who walk hand in hand towards the short queue for the Ferris Wheel.
