At the Comet Observatory, Daisy paced restlessly along the observation deck, her thoughts racing. She glanced toward the far-off corner of the station where Rosalina stood quietly, eyes closed, her serene expression focused as she communed with the cosmos—whatever that entailed. Daisy huffed in frustration, eager to take action. She had never been one for stillness, and every moment spent waiting felt like a waste.

The war had taken so much already—her friends, her kingdom, her sense of safety. And now, here she was again, waiting while others took action. It had always been the others—heroes like Link or warriors like Samus—who carried the weight of great decisions. But here, now, with the war hanging in the balance, Daisy felt a growing fire inside her. Perhaps... perhaps the universe was waiting for her, too.

Unable to bear the inactivity any longer, Daisy made her way to the Observatory’s vast Library. The air was cool and quiet, the only sound the gentle hum of distant Lumas drifting by outside the windows. The walls were lined with ancient tomes and scrolls, knowledge of worlds and dimensions unknown to most. She skimmed her fingers across the spines of the books as she passed them, their titles written in strange flowing script. Some she recognized; others were entirely foreign to her.

Finally, her gaze fell on a thick leather-bound volume that caught her attention. She pulled it from the shelf, its cover bearing the image of an elaborate symbol she didn’t recognize. Daisy opened the book, her eyes quickly scanning the pages, which were filled with descriptions of magical artifacts from across dimensions—items of great power that could shape worlds.

As she read, Daisy found entries about the Triforce and the Master Sword, familiar artifacts from Hyrule that had already played a crucial role in this war. But as she continued to explore the pages, she began to encounter mentions of other, more mysterious items—Emeralds, keys, wands, scrolls, and rings—objects of legend she had never heard of before.

Suddenly, Daisy froze. A faint whisper brushed against her ears, so soft she almost missed it.

"Chaos..."

Her heart skipped a beat. She glanced around cautiously, but the Library was empty. Only the books, sitting in their ancient stillness, surrounded her. She tried to ignore it, but the whisper came again, a little louder this time.

"Chaos..."

Daisy’s hands trembled, and her grip tightened on the book. Her pulse quickened, a mix of fear and confusion swirling in her chest. What was it? Where was it coming from?

"Chaos..."

The word echoed in her mind, flashing images before her eyes—destruction, loss, and the overwhelming chaos of the war. The scenes swirled in her mind, making her chest tighten, the weight of everything pressing down on her. Startled, Daisy dropped the book, which landed with a thud, its pages fluttering open as it hit the floor.

For a moment, she stood frozen, staring at the book in disbelief. Then, slowly, she knelt down and saw the page it had opened to—a detailed description of golden rings. Her eyes widened as she saw the elaborate symbols and inscriptions detailing their power.

At that moment, Rosalina glided silently into the Library, her presence calm yet commanding. "I’ve finished communing with the cosmos," Rosalina said gently, her voice like the wind through the stars. "The universe has spoken, but as always, I cannot directly cause harm to others."

Daisy looked up at her, still holding the book tightly. Her heart pounded in her chest as she hesitated before speaking. "Rosalina..." she said, her voice soft but laced with confusion. "I heard something... a whisper. It was saying 'chaos.' Do you know what that means?"

Rosalina’s serene expression shifted slightly, and for the briefest moment, a smile flickered across her lips—almost as if she had expected this. Her voice was pleasant, almost reassuring. "The universe speaks to those who can listen, Princess Daisy. Only a few are attuned to its whispers. The path to understanding is yours alone to follow."

Daisy blinked, still uneasy. "And these rings..." she said slowly, turning the book toward Rosalina. "They remind me of something you said. You told me that Samus was alive and had returned with some people, one of them named Sonic."

Rosalina nodded, her expression calm. "Yes, Sonic and his companions traveled through those rings, drawn to our world by forces even they may not fully understand. Their arrival was no accident, Daisy. Everything in this universe is connected—far more than you realize. But connections can be fragile, and sometimes, the smallest things hold the greatest power."

Daisy’s mind raced. The whisper, the rings, and now Sonic... Could these things be connected?

Her eyes fell once more on the description of the ring. Something about it struck her—an idea slowly forming, elusive but powerful. She recalled Rosalina’s words about the travelers and the golden portals. Could the rings mean more than just a way to travel?

Her thoughts flickered to the Power Star hidden within the Observatory—an immense source of energy. What if... Daisy’s breath caught in her throat as a thread of connection began to weave through her mind. Could there be a way to use this... without causing destruction?

She didn’t speak the thought aloud, not yet. But her heart raced with the possibility, her mind already leaping ahead.

Daisy spun toward Rosalina. "Rosalina, how quickly can the Comet Observatory get to the Mushroom Kingdom?" Her eyes were filled with hope and determination.

With a knowing smile, Rosalina responded. "We are already on the way. The universe heard your heart."

Daisy smiled at her friend. "Did the universe tell you this was going to happen?"

Rosalina’s smile deepened, her eyes shimmering with something warmer than starlight. "You’ve always had the strength, Daisy," she said softly. "Now, the universe needs you to use it."

Daisy met Rosalina’s gaze, and for a moment, felt a connection stronger than words—an unspoken bond of trust and quiet admiration. Rosalina placed a gentle hand on Daisy’s shoulder, her voice calm but firm. "You know what you must do. Prepare yourself. You have a great task ahead."

Daisy took a deep breath, feeling a surge of confidence. The unease that had gripped her moments ago began to fade, replaced by a growing determination. For so long, Daisy had wondered what her role would be in this war—whether she would simply stand by, watching others make the sacrifices. But now, the path ahead was becoming clearer, and for the first time, she felt the weight of the universe pressing gently on her shoulders, asking her to act.

Something big was coming, something that could turn the tide of the war—and she knew she would play a key role in it.

Rosalina withdrew her hand, her voice a quiet echo. "The stars whisper your name, Daisy. They have faith in you."

As Rosalina turned to leave, Daisy clutched the book tightly to her chest. Her breath steadied, and with each heartbeat, her resolve grew. Whatever her plan was, it was hers to carry out. And soon, the universe would know the strength of Princess Daisy.

Without another word, Daisy left the Library, determination coursing through her veins. Whatever awaited her, she would be ready.
