"Do you comprehend the foolish nature of a fat man on a sleigh scaling the entire globe in not one day... but one night?!" Tish asked Vince as they were bickering.

"Mommy, Tish keeps telling me that Santa isn't real!" Vince screamed hoping to get some backup.

Wednesday was over at her desk trying to finish up a couple of assignments while Mericoles was taking a nap. She stopped for a moment to turn around and address the bickering twins.

"Ok cut it out, what's the problem?" Wednesday asked her eyes more pointed on Tish the known trouble maker.

"I was just simply informing Vinny that Santa isn't real and the concept of Santa is ridiculous."

"But she's lying... right mommy?" Vince was giving Wednesday a look that said the next words that comes out of her mouth could make or break him.

Wednesday who while still isn't as open as her future self couldn't let Vincent down. The boy was too innocent.

"Of course he's real, and you might want to help Tish get on the nice list because I have it on good authority she's on the naughty list." Wednesday said back smiling deviously towards Tish.

"No! I'll make sure she gets back on the nice list, because she may be a meanie but she's my sister and she still deserves to have happiness on Christmas." Vince said wrapping and arm around his sister's shoulders.

Tish looked ready to explode and Wednesday just shook her head turning around and going back to her assignments.

"And keep it down you two, your baby sister is trying to sleep."

After about another hour of Wednesday doing assignments and the twins going back and forth the lock to Wednesday's door turned and Enid, Xavier, and Ajax entered having a loud conversation.

The loud teens caused Wednesday to turn around and shush them. She glared at all three individually and pointed at Mericoles.

"Whoever wakes the sleeping monster will WATCH the sleeping monster." Wednesday monotoned turning back to her desk.

"And that's my cue to leave." Ajax said attempting to turn on his heel and leave the room.

"Nope, we've got studying to do for that exam on Friday... especially you mister." Enid said grabbing him by his ear.

"Alright, damn babe no need to use the wolf strength."

Xavier took this as his moment to slip away and address his kids for the first time today. He walked up to the kids sitting on a large blanket in front of the window and took a seat in between them.

"Staying out of trouble?" Xavier questioned eyeing the two suspiciously in a playful manner.

"I am trouble." Tish simply responded before heading back to her book.

"She's just mad because she's on the naughty list this year." Wednesday interjected coming over to sit between Xavier's legs.

"Santa isn't real." Tish simply responded never looking away from her book.

"And how about you Vinny are you on the naughty list too?" Xavier asked turning to look at the boy.

"I sure hope not... we may be twins but we're two different people." Vince responded motioning between himself and his sister.

"Now that I actually agree with." Tish interjected still refusing to break the staring contest she's having with the words of the book she's reading.

Two hours had passed and Xavier was out like a light in Wednesday's bed while everyone else sat around the room awake. Enid and Ajax had just finished studying and were watching a movie with Vince.

Tish seemed really adamant on finishing her book and Mericoles was now awake again so Wednesday was holding her as she scanned her spell book looking for anything she could find involving time traveling.

She had a bad feeling after the incident that was almost two days ago, and she wanted to be prepared if they needed to escape. Once finding the spells needed she walked over and sat down next to Tish on the blanket.

Vince was on Enid's bed sitting between her and Ajax as they watched a movie, so Wednesday took this as her opportunity to talk with Tish.

"You haven't looked up in hours, what are you reading?" Wednesday asked looking at the book but unable to see any details because she had cover on it.

"It's one of your books actually, but I'm not allowed to show any of it to you." Tish responded finally looking away from the book to acknowledge the younger version of her mother.

"Do you wanna take a break and maybe hold your sister for a couple minutes, my arms really hurt." Wednesday asked the young girl hoping her tone didn't make it sound like she had to.

Tish simply sat the book down and took hold of the baby. She looked down at Mericoles which caused the new born to crack a smile.

"Well would you look at that, looks like you've got another sibling who absolutely adores you." Wednesday said looking at the girl knowingly.

"Even in the past I'm going to be lectured." Tish sighed rolling her eyes.

"I'm not gonna tell you things that I know you already know, what I will tell you is that showing love makes you stronger and when you put more love into your actions you'll see and feel a strength you've never felt before." Wednesday said surprising herself by the maternal tone in her voice.

"Mother I'm not incapable of love I just simply don't appeal to showing it 24/7..." Tish trailed off.

Wednesday looked at her with a knowing look.

"Or ever." Tish finished.

"You don't ever feel like everyone around you are just lovesick idiots?" Tish asked.

"Every single day of my life... have you met your grandparents?" Wednesday responded unable to stop the smile that crept on her face, which also caused Tish to crack a small smile.

Wednesday loved that smile so much, it was so honest and not overused like most people's smiles in today's society. As she looked at Vinny watching movies with his uncle and aunt, Xavier passed out from studying too much, and Tish holding Mericoles and not shutting off the world she just wanted to revel in it, because her gut told her this was the last normal day.
