"I have something I want to show you!" Deadpool giggled, grabbing Wolverine's hand and leading him to a ladder on the side of a building.

"Oh... I hate heights," Wolverine groaned. But Deadpool was already climbing, calling back to him.

"Come on, Don't be a loser!" Deadpool laughed. Wolverine sighed,

"Don't call me that!" He reluctantly began to follow after the red suited man, one rung at a time, trying not to look down.

He got to the top, heaving himself into the roof, where Deadpool was waiting patiently for him.

"Took you long enough, you oaf," Deadpool ran towards the edge of the roof. A thick pipe ran from one roof to the other, ten stories above the bustling street below.

"No. No!" Wolverine back away, swallowing thickly.

"Come on, I'll hold your hand," Deadpool grabbed the shorter man's hand, gently leading him to the edge of the roof.

"This can't be safe..."

"When have we ever been safe?" Deadpool grinned.

"I'll go first, see?" He took a step onto the pipe, still holding Wolverine's hand tightly. The yellow suited man eyed the situation warily.

"A ship is safe in the harbor," Deadpool whispered.

"But that's not what ships are meant for," Wolverine finished, smiling warmly. "You promise you won't let me go?" Wolverine grinned nervously.

"I promise, I'll never let you go!" He shouted over the wind as Wolverine stepped onto the pole, wincing as he caught his balance.

"That's it, one step at a time," Wolverine made the mistake of looking down at the street below, his heart dropping to his stomach.

"Look at me, don't look down, at me," Deadpool brought him back into the moment, squeezing his hand.

One step at a time, they made their way to the other roof, holding hands and laughing.

"Just one more climb, I promise," they began to climb a cell tower, resting on a little platform at the top. When Wolverine finally peeled his eyes open, he realized he could see the whole city from here. He felt the other man's gaze on him, but he was mesmerized.

"This is... thank you," he smiled, removing his mask and placing it beside him as he watched the city that never sleeps.

He felt Deadpool intertwine their pinkies, taking a hopeful breath.

"It's the second most beautiful view tonight," the Merc whispered.

"God you're cheesy, mouth," Wolverine chuckled, but his cheeks turned pink. He finally turned to Wade, seeing the way the man admired him, a little smile on his face.

He reached out to remove Deadpool's mask, seeing the hesitation in the scarred man's dark eyes.

"Your gorgeous darlin'" he whispered, leaning closer to the other man.

"Can I-" before he could finish his question, their lips collided, a short but sweet kiss. As they slowly pulled away, they playfully bumped foreheads, giggling.

"I... I want to be with you. I want to know your name, and take you on dates and hold your hand. I want you Kitty."

Even though they'd been partners in anti-hero crime for a while, and they'd seen each other's faces, mostly by accident, they had never really seen the necessity of sharing formalities like names and home lives. No need to bring your home life to work with you. And that has suited them just fine. For a while.

"My... my name is Logan," the shorter man chuckled.

"Wade", Wade offers a handshake.

"I'm glad I know ya, kid," Logan smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling.

"I'm glad I know you too, Logan," the name felt right coming out of his mouth, for both of them.

"Now, we have to get down!" Wade beamed. Logan groaned, dropping his head onto the other man's shoulder.
