It was early July, and Wade and Logan were staying at a little cabin. Lately, tension had begun to rise between them. Wade would try to get something from the cupboard, and Logan would come up behind him and grab it, their bodies sharing a little electric current that they both refused to acknowledge; Logan would catch Wade staring whenever they went swimming.

One particular afternoon, they were swimming in the lake, and Wade ran and did a cannonball off the dock.

"Asshole!" Logan cried out as he was drenched in water.
Wade was laughing as he came back up, and for some reason, Logan caught himself staring; the way the sunset reflected in his eyes, the way his face crinkled when he laughed... god his laugh was beautiful...

"Hey loser, get in!" Wade's voice broke him from his trance, and he shook his head. He smirked, running and launching himself into the water. The wave he created was astronomical, and Wade laughed, trying to dodge it. Logan came back up, flipping his hair back.

Wade's mouth opened a little, watching the drops of water glistening on Logan's bare, muscular chest, his big arms, his hair dripping down the back of his neck... oops, he isn't supposed to like Logan. Nope, no way.

They continued to swim and play in the water, and soon the sun was gone. They got out, and Wade stuttered as Logan wrapped a fluffy towel around him, throwing him a warm smile.

"Thanks," he pulled the towel tighter around himself. They walked onto the dock, sitting and looking at the stars together.

Wade found himself studying Logan's face, the way the moon reflected against his tan skin.

"You're so pretty... I want to kiss you..." Wade whispered absentmindedly.

"What did you say mumbles?" Logan turned to face him, raising his eyebrow. Shit, he hadn't meant to say that out loud.

"I SAID IF YOU DIED I WOULDN'T MISS YOU!" He panicked, looking away, grateful that it was dark and Logan couldn't see him blush.

"Ok bub," Logan said, looking back at the water. There was an awkward pause.

"Let's go inside, yeah?" Logan asked.

"Yeah, ok," they stood, making their way back up to the cabin.
