Heartbeat - Part 6

The next day...

Adelaide's POV:

I went to school like every other day but this time it was I don't know. I was kinda nervous, was it because of him...god Adelaide you have to stop thinking about him. At lunch time i was sitting alone again, I think my so called friends gave finally up. I was about to eat my sandwich when: he came up to me.

Adelaide: * sighs * what do you want
Justin: can I sit here

He looked so sweet with his beautiful brown eyes...should I say yes I thought

Adelaide: you may sit here but don't think I will tell you anything
Justin: * smile's * thank you

He sat down next to me and we ate our lunch. It was an awkward silence, the whole time I was thinking about one thing: should I tell him or not but suddenly he said something and I snapped out of my thoughts.

Justin: so what do you have next lesson
Adelaide: what...umm...oh gym I think

But when I said these words I was shocked. Did I say gym.

Justin: * worried * are you okay

Now I needed an excuse.

Adelaide: * nervous * umm...could you please tell our dance teacher that I don't feel well
Justin: * looks into her eyes * why are you lying...Adelaide

This sucks I thought...how did he know I was lying, well done Adelaide

Adelaide: * looks down * I...I...I'm not...lying
Justin: what are you trying to hide from me

I looked into his eyes and I could see he was really worried. Suddenly tears were rolling down my cheek, I had to tell him.

Adelaide: come on, I'll tell you outside

I grabbed his hand and we left the cafeteria, we went out of the school building and sat down on a bench.

Adelaide: * looks at him * I really didn't know if can tell you or not but I made a decision and I think I can trust you
Justin: * takes her hand * you can trust me with everything
Adelaide: * smile's a little *

From that moment on I knew I made the right decision, this boy would never try to hurt me...never. I took a deep breath and began to tell him, 15 minutes later he knew everything except for one thing: the fact that I cut myself.

Justin: * shocked * you...you...you have a heart defect
Adelaide: * tears rolling down and nods *
Justin: I'm so sorry if I had knew I wouldn't have tried to find out
Adelaide: * wipes her tears and looks at him * hey don't worry, it isn't your fault
Justin: * sad * so are you...are you going to...

I knew exactly what he wanted to ask me

Adelaide: no I'm not going to die
Justin: * sighs of relief * oh thank god
Adelaide: but if i forget to take my pills i will die
Justin: so did you take your pills today

This was the first moment after a lot of days I could laugh again, thanks to...Justin

Justin: so did you
Adelaide: * smile's * yes I did

The bell rang

Justin: come on let's skip the last two lessons
Adelaide: what...no...we can't
Justin: oh please just this once
Adelaide: * sighs * fine but only because it's you
Justin: * smile's * thanks, I wanna show you something
Adelaide: what is it
Justin: that's for me to know and you to find out

He took my hand and we went to his car, a few minutes later we arrived at...the beach

Adelaide: * confused * the beach
Justin: * shakes his head * be patient

We got out of the car, he then went behind me and covered my eyes

Adelaide: what are you doing
Justin: just walk
