'War'

They now all stood in P.E
Their teacher was telling them off a game .
" You will have shields , rubber swords and rubber spears , fake arrows with bows .I expect two captains and I will give you ten minutes to make strategies ". Their teacher said.
Abbey stepped forward and with full confidence said .
" I will be captain ".
Sam for some unknown reason stepped forward and said .
" As will I ".
Perhaps it was pride , his pride had been hurt .
For he was the one who was supposed to step forwards instead of a girl even if that girl was Abbey .
The teacher divided the class into two sides .
" The rules are simple there are two flags in plain site which I have put .
The flags represent thrones.
If an arrow touches you , you step out of the game.
Now Go! She said.

As he told people were to stand , he saw Abbey also placing people in their places .

Sam stood next to the flag with a sword and shield at the very back .
He did not use arrows as he thought they were useless.
They were outdoors so there were trees and the outdoors made it feel more a sense of war.

Abbey looked as if she really was going to war .
He heard her say .
" Legion Format! ".
A row of people with shields stood in a line at the front .
Then the row after it were people with spears.
The ones with swords were few , at the very back .

" Time ". Their teacher called.

" Fight ". Sam called to his 'army ' who all of them were with swords and some with shields and arrows.

" Advance! ". He heard Abbey shout as her first row came forward with their shields up and going forward as his team came at them .
The shields were bearly pushing them off.
" Archers now! ". Abbey screamed , arrows came raining down on his team .
About half of his team were taken out proclaimed 'dead' by the teacher .
" Advance , ADVANCE! ". Abbey was shouting while Sam was panicking calling back his team to surround the flag.
As his team was coming towards him and leaving 'war ground' .
Abbey was shouting at her team to retreat .
As what was left of his team surrounded the flag Abbey went around talking to her team .
" Swords out " . He told his team .

" Legion Attack! ". Abbey shouted with her own sword in the air.

A row of people with swords came running at them .
" Shields up ". He hurriedly told his team .
But the attack did not come , confused they put down their shields to see what was up .
That was their mistake.
As soon as they put down their shields arrows and spears were thrown at them .
The only survivors were him and two others who put their shields up in time .
Abbey walked towards them with her whole team behind her archers , spear and sword holders.
Her walk was more of a swagger then a normal walk.
A smile of triumphant was on her face.
Her combat boots were the only thing is that could be heard on the grounds.
She brought her sword to neck level with his .
" Move aside Dentin ". She said her eyes glittering in the sun .
He stepped aside , going towards the flag she acted as if it really was a throne .
Clamping her hands around it she lifted it up and waved it around while her team cheered.

Their teacher came forward obviously impressed .
" That was good really good".

" I could have beaten you ". Sam said when he saw people patting Abbey and cheering her on.
" You could never beat me in war ". She said with full confidence .
