I knew that figure more than well, it's was no other than Jaehyun, one of the old members of the superiority that was kicked out due to his lack of comprehension when it came to the rules set to him as a vampire.

I grabbed Danielle, I knew why he was here. Danielle's blood is very calling. And it was bound that a vampire would try and hunt her down. And that's not going to happen on my watch.

blood, blood, and blood.

That's all he was thinking of, I made Danielle cling on to my back again. I waited patiently, just waiting for him to make the move. And when he did, I jumped from the tree and landed on the one next to me, sliding down the tree as I could here the calling of thirst from him.

It was hard to be around Danielle, her blood was like a temptation that was calling for me. But I could never hurt her, I would never. None of us ever could, we're not monsters in that meaning.

I grabbed on to one of the branches and swung myself to a lower one on the next tree, and all of this was being done at a super fast speed, a part of me was scared that Danielle will grow weak and fall. I would never forgive myself for that.

I could hear him closing in on me, but I knew this territory better than him. I took flight to the furthest tree I saw. Danielle let out a scream, and that's exactly what I needed. I let myself slide down the tree and I could already smell the scent of wet dog.

Once I was at the ground, I forcefully made Danielle let go of me making her fall down on the leaves. I turned around, taking flight and punched him mid air. Making him fly over to one of the trees. It was enough for me to check up on Danielle.

"Are you okay?" I asked her and she gave me a slight nod as I caught the way her eyes shifted to look behind me. I turned around but saw no one, I looked up and saw him coming down straight at me with a fist.

I was ready to catch him when the loud growl of a familiar wolf ringed in my ears. Next thing I saw was a wolf jump towards him and catch his neck between their teeth. Jaehyun was yelling as the wolf slid on the ground, shaking its head trying to break his head off. He was trying to fight the wolf but it was to no bail.

Wolfs were stronger than us in many ways.

And there it was, the snap. Jaehyun's body fell off as his head was stuck on the canines of the wolfs teeth. The wolf growled at me, warning me to get out of the land. But I knew what I needed to do right now, if Jaehyun was here, the vicious thirst of others were lurking around too. Looking for Danielle's sweet blood.

"Minji, I need to talk to Taehyung." I said and the wolf threw the head over my own I and made its way to me. The black coat indicted that she was the Alpha to be. I'm soon going to have to talk business with her soon.

"Danielle?" I turned around to see Hanni making her way to Danielle, and out of pure instinct, I stopped her but then Minji growled aggressively, warning me. I threw her a glare as I looked back at Hanni. I took a step back and let her approach Danielle. To check on her.

"You want to talk to me?" I looked over to see Taehyung walking towards me with that powerful walk. "Yes, I apologize for crossing land to begin with. But there is a problem." I said and he crossed his arms over his chest, letting me know he was listening.

"That one, isn't the only coming this way. Danielle's blood is attracting everyone of my kind and setting off blood thirst frenzy. And I fear that they will hurt her. A vampire's thirst shouldn't be overlooked." I said "Is that why you crossed our land?" He asked and I nodded. "I knew none of the wolfs would attack me due to the agreement." I said and he hummed.

"We did see some of those red eye vampires from Italy roaming around." I furrowed my eyebrows. The Superiority, they're the only ones that would never even come here when they have a human blood diet that they follow in Italy only.

"Tall, very beautiful, looks like a doll." One of the wolfs said. "Vicky, in other words Wonyoung, she's one of the Superiority's favorites for her power. She can debilitate you with just looking into your eyes." I said and that same wolf looked taken back.

"Any clue on why they're here?" Asked Taehyung and I let out a sigh. "Word has been crossing that us, as the Kang's, have been showing who we are to a mortal. So it's our fault for have them come here and cause the worst chaos. Vampire rules are strict when it comes to the humans." I said and Taehyung let out a sigh.

"The contract bounds us to be neighbors that can't stand each other but will protect the other's back no matter what. If you need us to help protect Danielle, we will." He said and I gave him a nod in appreciation. I gave Minji's wolf form a glare as I tried to get close to Hanni, or rather Danielle.

"Hold it!" Taehyung commanded to Minji as I picked Danielle up. "Thank you. And I suggest you stand on alert. Vicky comes with a trio, very powerful." I said and Taehyung shrugged. "We die doing what we do all the time, so don't crack your skull for that." He said. At least he wasn't a hard head like a certain someone that kept snarling at me.

But the sound of a branch breaking caught my attention and from the rest of the pack that was surrounding me. Danielle held on to me tightly. "I can feel someone looking at me." She said and my vampire side started to show. My fangs came out, I could feel all of my senses being heightened by a multiple. More heightened than they already were

I could smell death from a mile away.

I put Danielle back down to her feet and looked around. Minji seemed to do the same thing as she snarled up at the trees. I looked up to at hearing the sound of another branch break.

"Jaehyun led us right to the prize." I let out a groan as my eyes snapped to look down at the woman coming from the bushes. "Vicky." I greeted in a hiss. "That's not the way to greet the superiority, Haerin." I looked back up at the trees to see Ahyeon, a vampire with electricity coursing through her veins.

"And much less when you have such a good dinner in a circle full of mutts." Yeji, the longest vampire part of the Superiority said. With the ability to stop a heart from beating, it's one of the most deadliest powers along my own.

"If I may ask, what are you doing out of your jurisdiction?" I asked as I pulled Danielle behind me, Hanni stood beside me. Protecting her too. "A little birdie told us about your ignorance to the rules, vampire shall not have contact with mortals in the depth that you...Kang's...have with her." Vicky said as she pointed at Danielle behind me and it triggered the wolfs as they started to get into fighting formation. Minji ready to attack at any wrong move.

"That isn't Superiority business, not when they feed off of human servants who have no idea that they're being used as blood bags." I said and Ahyeon hissed. "Watch your mouth, you have no clue of what the Superiority is, so I suggest to keep those lips shut." Yeji said.

"And talking about blood bags..." My non-beating heart fell down to the pits of the burning flames of hell when Yeji's eyes connected with Danielle's.

"We're here for ours."
