But before she could even use her power, I used my own first at its full potential, with Danielle it was a mere tear drop. Her body entered into a stroke as my power coursed through her veins like a venom.

"Haerin!" It was Vicky's voice that resonated in my ears as a warning. But my eyes stayed set on to Yeji who was now kneeling down on the ground holding her chest. This was a challenge, almost a warning for the Superiority. I could kill her with a simple snap of her neck, but that would set war.

And at the speed of light, Ahyeon tried to attack me as she flew straight to me. But through the corner of my eyes I saw the brown fur that belonged to the youngest of the pack. She grabbed Ahyeon between her teeth and swung her towards the nearby tree, hardly. They don't want war either, but as Taehyung said. They've got my back.

I stopped the flow of my power when I noticed that Yeji was struggling, not all vampires can withhold my power. "This is a warning, don't mess with me and my mortal being." I said and Vicky seemed pissed off. "Are you challenging me, Kang?" Vicky asked and I tilted my head. "Do you want me to be?" I asked, but a tug to my shirt made me look away briefly.

I turned to look at Danielle whose eyes were begging me to stop and leave, she was scared. She was shaking as Hanni held her tightly. I looked back at Vicky that in a flash was standing before me. There was tension as the other waited to use their power.

"You don't want to challenge me, I'll kill you." She said and I gave her a smirk. "Not if I kill you first." And with that I harshly shoved her, causing for her body to go flying. She slid on her knees once she touched ground as her fingers dug into the ground to halt herself still.

She looked up and that look of a cold hearted killer was shown, her fangs were out as the black veins popped from beneath her eyes, her bloody red eyes were a threat. Human blood fed vampires were always stronger than animal fed vampires. But I'll do anything to protect Danielle.

"Get Danielle out of here!"

I yelled once I saw Vicky take flight and try to get to Danielle as a cheat sheet. I jumped up and met her halfway, grabbing her neck and slamming her down to the ground. I turned around smacking Ahyeon right across the face who was trying to attack me, sending her across a tree, breaking it. I hissed at Yeji who was looking at me, somewhat recovered from the damage I caused.

But her focus wasn't on me. I turned around and saw that they were barely taking Danielle away. I took flight, trying to get to her but I was only slammed down to the ground. "Get her!" Vicky ordered to Ahyeon. And in my moments of despair, I needed help. And I knew who was going to give it to me without a doubt.

"Minji!"

I watched as the giant black wolf came out of nowhere, pushing Ahyeon off balance. Vicky got distracted and that was my chance to fight back. I grabbed her foot and used it to shove her away.

I watched as the pack one by one started to react, each and one of them transforming. Even Hanni who I can identify as the wolf with the white coat, she was the smallest of all. Danielle seemed even more scared surrounded by them but they were her safest spot at the moment.

My eyes caught sight of Yeji sprinting towards her, but not on my fucking watch. I tried to get to her but the feeling of electricity coursing through me was painful and it held me in place. "I really liked you, but what a shame." Ahyeon said as she forcefully shoved me down to my knees as I tried to grasp onto something. Just to escape the pain.

If this was my end, then I'll gladly accept it.

But not while Danielle is watching me with those pretty brown eyes that caught my attention when I first saw her at the cafe. One of the wolfs tried to come to my aid, but once it was in the air, Vicky slammed it against the nearest tree. The whimper was heard throughout the forest. And it all fell into a silence.

Not until the powerful scream of my brother resonated all around us. "Let her go!" My eyes barely looked over at him as he was headed straight to Ahyeon. His eyes were bright gold as his fangs were out. He took hold of her, her electricity leaving my body. And that's when we heard the snap.

I looked over at Jungwon who held her head by her hair. Her body was on the ground. I took a moment to fix myself up, seeing that Yeji was going to attack him, but the powerful swing of Kazuha who came out of nowhere knocked her down to the ground.

I looked over at Danielle who was being carried away by Yunjin. Her protests were clear as she wanted to stay here with me. Jungwon went after Yunjin to make sure that she nor Danielle would be in trouble.

My eyes shot to look a Vicky who took flight and headed straight to me, I jumped up and tackled her instead, hitting a tree. She grunted as I kept her there, one of my hands on her neck. Yeji was being chased away by the wolfs along with Kazuha, Taehyung howling in the protest of not being able to kill her.

I looked into her eyes and used my powers before she could use hers. Her body entered into that stroke mode that had her choking. "Let this be a warning, Jang. I don't want to see you or the Superiority anywhere near these lands." I said. The venom of my power causing her eyes to roll back. "Now, head back to Italy and let the Superiority know that they better not mess with me. I can take anyone down." I said.

My power was almost like compelling someone. In some odd way like hypnosis.

Once she stopped choking and I was in complete control of her, I grabbed her and brought us back down to the ground. I looked into her eyes and commanded her to start running, my brain controlling hers. My control over her will die down soon but I hope it's long enough for her to be far away from here.

And now that I stood there alone, everything seemed to sink in. Danielle was in danger, and I probably made it worse.

"She's safe."

I turned to look at Jungwon who stood a couple of feet away from me. "You can't protect her alone, Haerin. Ahyeon was going to kill you." He looked away from me briefly. "I may not be so fond of Danielle, but you care for her. And that's enough to have us all at guard to protect her." Jungwon said and I looked down.

"It's complicated, Jungwon. She's making me feel better about being what I am. The mere ability of being able to protect her more than what I would've ever been able to in human form makes me feel proud of what I am. In the sense that I can keep her safe in some way." I said.

"Well, I don't know how you'll feel about this. But Sunghoon is back, and he has some visions for us." He said and I quirked an eyebrow at him. "He saw Danielle in your life since long ago." He said, looking at me as if he was trying to hide something from me. But was it destiny for me to see Danielle in that cafe?

There was something else.

"His visions aren't accurate sometimes..." He trailed off and I gave him a stern look to get to the point. If my Danielle dies, I'll turn myself in to the Superiority and let them decide my fate.

"I have no clue how or why, but Danielle becomes one of us."
