Aspen

Why is everyone telling me about this Andrew kid? All I know is he hit me with a door, and that caused me to be late for a game of BS.The doctors still think I don't know who my best friends are, that Nathan is a bastard, Scarlet's party, where I mistakingly got drunk, or basically anything from the last three weeks. All I don't recall at all is that creepy kid who's always in the corner of my hospital room.
They keep saying his name is Andrew, but I call him weirdo. He won't leave me alone and asks me all these questions that I obviously don't have the answers to. They all tell me he was my boyfriend, but I vowed never to have one until I'm completely finished with college.
Sage keeps mentioning the lake and rocks, but how does she know about that? I've always kept it a secret, and they were always dead asleep when I left for them. Unless the creepy kid told them about it. Ug, can't he just go away?!
There's also a camp counselor here named Galen, who keeps looking at Scarlet. He's even creepier than the Andrew kid. Scarlet does look back at him though, exchanging smiles with him every once in a while. I hope she knows what she's getting into.
"Aspen?"
I break from my thoughts to see the weird kid standing at the foot of my bed. He's cute, I guess, but I would never date him unless I was finished with college, as I said before.
"Yes?" I ask curious to what he's going to ask me now.
He seems to hesitate, but continues to ask me what it was he was going to say. "When do you get out of this dreaded place?" He asks cracking a smile.
"Tomorrow. I go straight back to camp. Can I ask you something?" I reply.
He looks surprised by my engaged conversation with him, but he nods his head.
"Two things actually. One, how long was I out for?"
"Two days. Doctors were unsure if you'd even wake up," he tells me glumly.
I take a deep breath. I been here for four days all together. Gosh, I need to get out of here.
"Ok..." I say. "And my second thing... if we did date at some point, what was it like and how did I fall in love with you?" I ask curious about my supposed "love life".
He smiled and hung his head down. "I fell in love the moment I saw you, but I think for you it took for you to get to know me. I'm going to quote something here, so don't make fun of me. 'You fell in love like you fall asleep, slowly then all at once.'"
I laughed. He quoted The Fault in Our Stars. Okay, he's cooler than I thought.
"I told you not to make fun of me!" He said laughing. He stopped laughing when he looked at me. In his eyes I could see a love that was undying. A love I'm not even sure existed.
"But our love was slow and you controlled it. I didn't know how you like to do things, I mean you are my first girlfriend, I didn't know if you had been in other relationships. Now I know you didn't. The day you fell off though, was the day of our first kiss and the day I said I love you. You... you never got the chance to say it back."
"Y... Y... You said are my first girlfriend," I stammered.
He reached forward and grabbed my hand. A shiver ran through my spine and his touch was so familiar. Are my insane friends right? Did I really date him?
"That's because I haven't given up on you yet."
