Aspen was awake.

I was excited.

But not too excited because now there was another breathing person who I had to deal with.

But overall excited.

I don't know what I would do without her. She keeps me in line, that silly ginger.

I would die without her.

I walk through the hallway after visiting with Aspen taking it all in. She forgot who Andrew was. Andrew cried. Sage cried.
Aspens parents cried. I didn't.

I wander the hallways wanting to cry but don't. I promised myself to never cry again. But I can't handle everything even though I try.

I can't take it any longer. I run out of the hospital and into the gardens, into the trees and I sit down on the bench by the lake and cry.

I don't remember how long I cried but after a while I stop crying tears of the past and present and just stare off into the distance. The lake, the trees and the sky. All the same.

Galen's pov:
I can't find Scarlet for about three hours. I am getting worried. I'm supposed to keep track of these girls, but Scarlet made my job an endless adventure.

She is scarlet and Scarlet does her own thing. She is original. Like no one I've ever met.

And I like it....

I want it....

But I couldn't have it.

I decide to ask the nurses of they had seen Scarlet.

"Excuse me." I say

One of the nurses hears me and looks up.

"Have you seen a blonde girl go past here? She's about 15, green eyes, kinda short."

The nurse nodded and pointed towards a door. Above it was a sign j read "Garden". I thank them and run towards the doors.

Scarlett's pov:
He sits down next to me but I don't say anything. I couldn't. There is so much I want to say, but he would just say I can't. He won't even give it a try. I lay my head on his shoulder and continue staring or maybe I fell asleep?

"Aspen it's your turn." Sage and Aspen are wearing the short blue dresses we picked out together. They look amazing. All dolled up with their hair, nails, makeup, and converse on. The only way I could get them in a dress was if I agreed to converse. She links arms with Andrew and exit the door. The door closes behind them and they disappear.

Sage goes next with Nathan. "It's okay don't be nervous" she says to me. She links arms with Nathan. She exhales then they disappear behind the door.

That left me. Only me. I sigh out of nervousness, almost regretting my decision. Just then the door opens. The music starts playing so I start walking.

I am the only one in white.

I wake up suddenly in Aspen's room on the couch. Galen isn't here. He must've carried me here but I couldn't think. I want the pain to go away.

I fall back asleep but not before noticing a single tear trail my cheek.
