Aspen

Where am I?
Why is it so white?
WHY...AM I...IN... A DRESS!!I hold the plain white dress up in disgust. It's a strapless that comes right to my knees with only one ribbon of color. And the ribbon is black. The only good thing about this outfit is that I'm barefoot.
I look around at where I am, and I'm blinded by all the white. The corridor is long and bends, what looks like, every 4 feet. Behind me is just a wall, there are no doors, but beside me is a white table with white flowers in a white vase.
"What's with all the white?" I whisper to myself. Even a whisper echoes through the hall.
"Just walk up the hall and you'll see."
I jump at the voice. I wasn't expecting that.
"Um, ok," I say slowly taking a step.
"Seriously. Don't be afraid. We don't bite.
We? I think to myself as a walk faster towards the girl's voice.
"Yes we. Now hurry up, you and I have business to take care of," she tells me in an annoyed voice.
I walk faster and faster up the hallway curious to see who exactly I have "business" with. As I round another curve, a blinding light hits me. I try to shield my eyes to see what it is, but it's no use.
"Wow. You're the first one to come down here with a black ribbon. Interesting."
She pauses for a while before she speaks again.
"The door behind you. I'll meet you in there."
Behind me? I turn around and sure enough the corridor is gone and replaced with a wall with a door. I laugh under my breath and open the door. In the room I'm taken back by the teal walls with a white couch and coffee table. I walk in and sit on the couch. It's real leather, something you don't see a lot anymore.
"Aspen."
My head shoots up and standing in front of the door is a girl that looks to be a little older than I am. She has long golden hair and violet eyes. She wears a plain white dress that flows to the floor and, unlike me, has white flats on.
"Who...how...what..." I stammer.
She laughs and comes across the room to sit by me. "Don't be afraid. Ask me anything."
I take a deep breath and try to pick out only a few question that are stirring in my head.
"Where am I?"
"I can't tell you that. Not yet."
"You said I could ask you anything! Isn't that anything?" I said anger growing in me. "I wanna know where I am."
She sighed through her nose and smiled at me. "You may ask me anything exception to about this place or me. Those answers will come later."
I relax a little and feel guilty for raising my voice. "Ok. Well, my friends? Andrew?"
The girl lowers her head and slumps her shoulders. When she lifts her head again she has a grim look on her face. "You will remember every memory, except-"
"Wait... What happened to me?" I ask confused. "Why the long face?"
She shakes her head slightly and looks me straight in the eyes. "Aspen, you fell off the rock while you were with Andrew. You are unconscious on earth. The reason you have that black ribbon you have on is because you are an uncertain. We have no idea if you'll wake up. Only God does. Most uncertains don't even make it down the corridor. You're one of the lucky ones."
A ball forms in my throat and tears begin to form in my eyes. Andrew will blame himself. I can't let that happen. I have to make it. I have to wake up.
"Don't tell me about my memories. I don't wanna know. I'll just ask another question." I search my brain for another question, but I don't have anymore.
All I can think about is Andrew.
His eyes.
His smile.
