"You had sex!" Oh, my Lanta! I am going to kill my best friend. "It's written all over your face." Looking around, luckily there are not too many stares.

"Don't you have something to do?" I sneer at him out of sheer embarrassment. I'm at work freaking right now.

Waving a hand dismissively he grabs my hands and the most genuine smile on his face makes me a little less mad. "You are absolutely glowing Kit Kat. I'm so damn happy for you to finally dust off those cobwebs." Yup, I am definitely going to kill him. Ready to jump over the counter to strangle my best friend the door chimes and I look up.

My cheeks heat up as the guy I have not stopped thinking about walks in. "Angel." He smiles and seeing those damn dimples in his cheeks is so freaking cute.

"What are you doing here?" Not that I'm complaining, I am just surprised.

"I had a few minutes before I had to go to a meeting, and I wanted to see you." Caressing my cheek over the counter. Out of the corner of my eye I see Josh fanning himself. Stifling a giggle I look into Johnny's eyes. What the hell does this man really see in me?

"Take a break Kit Kat, I'll watch the counter for you."

"But you don't even work here."

"Like anybody is going to say anything." That is true. Everyone in this damn town knows who Josh is.

"Okay." Rounding the corner Johnny automatically takes my hand and guides me to the door.

"Thanks, Josh." He waves him off and I give my best friend a grateful smile, but I almost gasp as his hands spread out trying to guess the size of Johnny's package.

The moment we step outside his lips are on mine and I instinctively wrap my arms around his neck. This man can knock the wind out of me just from one kiss. Pulling away his forehead rests against mine. "I have been thinking about your lips all damn day." His thumb traces the outline of my lips and all I can think about is going back to his hotel room.

"Is that all?" Where did that come from?

"No, your smile, the twinkle in your eyes when you are excited about something. Your expressions are shown through those eyes."

"There is nothing special about my eyes." I mean they are just plain old brown.

"Brown eyes are the most boring color. Why can't you wear contacts?" Where did that come from. I was just getting ready for the date well not date but gathering of his obnoxious friends, that he told me about last minute. "What the hell is that you are wearing? You look like a fucking nun." I don't want to look like a slut. These are your sleazy friends we have to meet up with. "What the hell was I thinking when I chose you?!"

"Angel."

"Huh?" Shaking those memories away. Trying to be in the present with this wonderful man.

"Where did you go?"

"No where." Giving a tight lip smile. I do not want to think about that time in my life or him. Especially when things are so much better now.

"Your eyes are beautiful." I don't think that is what he was about to say, but I'm grateful he didn't prod any further. They are not just brown; did you know that there are specks of green in them? They also change to amber when you express your emotions a certain way."

He notices all that just from the little time we spent together. I pull him into another kiss. My emotions get the best of me but in the back of mind it still lingers with doubt, and I hate that. His phone goes off and he pulls back reluctantly. "I need to go." Nodding my head I look back in the bookstore to make sure Josh isn't causing trouble. "Stay the night again."
