"I swear if he fucks up again, I will kick his ass." This is why I love my best friend. Even if he would lose which lets face it he would, against someone like Johnny, but he would still defend me to the bitter end. "You know I would, Kit Kat." Snuggling up closer to me, I relish in these moments we share. I hate that he is so stressed with how is father pressures him to take over the family business.

"It's been a couple of months since the trip to Italy, Joshie Pooh." He cringes at the nickname but I have been calling him that for years now and I just love to tease him with it every once in awhile. "Everything has been going well since then, so don't jinx it."

It has not been great but I don't want to worry my best friend. Since Johnny had to go back home it's been texts, video calls and just phone calls when he has been busy with work. I promised myself not to freak out and just go with the flow.

This is different, it's not the same as last time. "You miss him don't you." Nodding my head, I miss him a lot and it's scary but exciting when I get to see his smile. "When is he coming back to visit?"

"I'm not sure. He has a major project coming up in his hometown so, I don't know when he will have time off."

Jumping off the couch Josh startles me that I almost fall off. At least give me a warning next time. "I got it!" The excitement in his eyes has me a little leary, sometimes Josh's plans can land us in trouble. "Why don't we go to him?"

"I have work and you have..."

"Exactly! It gives me the excuse to get away from it all."

"Oh! So, this is about you and not about me and my boyfriend." Boyfriend. That still sounds weird to say, but it still brings a smile to my face.

Taking my hands in his, I can't help but not match his excitement. "It's about both of us. You get to see your hunk of a man." Going to swat at him he laughs and jumps away from me. "Two, I get away from my father and Zach. It's a win-win situation. Don't you think?" I hate when he tilts his head to the side and gives me that look. It gets me every time and he knows it.

"Fine." I forget how strong he is as he lifts me up and spins me around in the air. The smile on his face makes me laugh. The relief in his eyes makes me pull him into a hug once he puts me back on the ground.

I would do anything for my bestie and like he said it's a win-win situation.

_____________

I can't believe he is talking me into this! I swore I would never do this again. I still have not heard back from Johnny so I sent him a text. So much for surprising him, I just let him know where I will be. Damn Josh and suckering me into this. After twenty minutes of arguing about this, I relent.

"Fine, Joshie Pooh. Let's go." That damn smile of his will get him whatever he wants. The poor bastard that finally wins his heart will be putty in his hands.

"That's my girl! This is going to be so much fun."

"More like trouble." Every time he tries to find someone who will just like him for him and not who he is, he gets his heart broken and I hate seeing it. I don't mind picking up the pieces but it hurts to see him hurt. "I feel it in my bones, Kat. This is going to be a great night." I hope so. "The Lion's Den is the best gay bar in town."

"I still can't believe you talked me into this." My phone dings and I smile as I see his message. He's going to be there. I haven't seen him face to face in almost a month and I can't wait to see him.

"Just you wait and see Kit Kat, you will have the time of your life."

"I highly doubt that." Even though I know he is right I will not let him know that at the moment.
