"You ready, Nicholas?" He asks and the boy nods."Okay, here we go."
Before Billy started, his eyes darted around the room. The rest of the coven, apart from Agatha, looked confused. They have never heard of spell like that before, it seemed more... ancient. Of course Billy knew something about ancient. Don't tell anyone but he googled "Agatha Harkness Ancient". That did help his then research about everything. He wasn't feeling so lost anymore. But there was still something or more like someone missing.
He puts his hands a bit forward, focusing. He starts chanting the spell and his power seems to only get more powerful as every word leaved his lips. A powerful spell blasted straight to the ghost and even if it lasted a few seconds, it really drained Billy, seeing as he hasn't got a full hang of his powers. That didn't matter to him because he really wanted to help Agatha, maybe Rio a bit too. Seeing her treat her son like this changed everything about her. She wasn't so... crazy, so cold. She looked caring, happy, cheerful. It's like her whole personality flipped, like a switch.
The boy starts looking more alive, like a person. His black hair finally showing up little by little, his clothes start acting like real life ones and his body moving normally. Agatha and Rio look at each other for a brief second and then back to Nicholas. They both have such a longing and loving look in their eyes that everyone seem suprised.
"How do you feel?" Rio says, her voice trembling.
"It's... gone. Mom, I missed you so much!" Nicholas says running towards.
Rio opens up her arms as her son runs into the hug. She embraces him softly, tears running down her cheeks. She buries her head in the crook of his neck. They both stay there for a while, not saying anything. The rest of the coven watched them, with suprise in their eyes. They didn't expect the "psycho" to be so warm and well normal.
Agatha looked at Nicholas, patiently waiting for their time to be over. This is the first time in centuries where she felt patient. She didn't have another care in the world, other than holding her son and Rio. The family she once built. Agatha never thought that she would think about Rio this way ever again. The words didn't make sense in her head but she just brushed it off.
"Go hug your mama, baby." Rio says, feeling happy.
"Mom, just know that this wasn't your fault, he took me and you were ready to give your life for me. You did everything in your power and beyond to save me. I love you." He says, Rio wondering when he got so wise. Tears swelling in her eyes yet again.
"Thank you." Her voice breaking a bit."I love you too, baby. Now go, your mama is waiting." She says with a smile, standing up.
The boy looks back and sees Agatha looking at them. Her body is shaking and sobs leave her lips. Her troath seemed to be closing up as they share a mother and son look. Agatha takes a step forward, stumbling a bit. Nicholas runs towards her, hugging Agatha and sqeezing her to death. They, as before with Rio, stay like that.
"Okay, now what the fuck is going on?" Jen asks.
"That's the supposed child sacrifise." Lillia says "Turns out, Mefisto took his sould but the boy fought hard not to be taken away to the underworld and was taken here. That's some curouge."
"Damn, that's heartwarming but at the same time what?" Jen says, her voice unfamiliar.
Agatha after her words, let's go of Nicholas and takes his hand, walking towards Rio. She envelopes them both into a hug. That's the second time, in many years, that she felt the need to hug her. She did miss her and now knowing the actual information about her sons dissapearence.
"Okay, okay. We need to go, the door does have a timer on it." Jen says.
Everyone simply looks at her, then start marching through. They walk out and start making shelter. Even though the trial wasn't too hard, it was emotional for everyone. Some got proved wrong, others got the confirmation they needed. Everyone, for the first time since they stepped in here, felt peacful, happy.
Rio and Agatha never left Nicholas's side, always near him. For the first time in years, Agatha and Rio felt the love inside them like a flame, burning eternaly. If they were told a few days ago that they would be a family again, they would've either laughed or ripped your troath out, which ever would've seemed more convienient to them. But right now, they are all sitting in a comfortable silence, just looking at each other. It was perfect, but the one faulty thing is that they are still in the road. Only one more trial left. Billy's.
"Nicholas, are you feeling okay? Do you need anything, sweetie?" Rio asked, her voice concerned.
"No, mom, I'm okay, don't worry about me" he says playfully "I love you mom and mama."
"We love you too, our little boy" Agatha says.
They all sit at a bonfire, chatting. The ex-lovers tell their story, while constantly exchanging glances. Everything seemed magical, which was kind of ironic, seeing as they all are witches. The rest of the time was peaceful, full of games and laughter. The all seemed like a coven. Alice once called them the Coven of Chaos and they went with that. Agatha finally started to feel bad for Sharon and thought of ways she could bring her back. Maybe that would be her wish at the end. She has everything she wants now, things she never thought she could get. Everything changed so fast and Agatha's mind is trying to catch up.
A few hours pass until everyone decides to go to sleep. They slowly drift off. Nicholas falls asleep last, seeing as he was talking to his moms. Agatha stands up and goes further away, trying to have a fresh breath of air. She hears footsteps behind her and turns around, only to find Rio. They both share a look and walk towards each other, pulling into a hug. They both have tears in their eyes, feeling happy. Rio was the first to pull away, her one hand on Agatha's waist, the other carresing her cheek.
"I still love you more than anything, Agatha." She says, barely audible.
Agatha was taken aback for a second before replying.
"I love you too, honey." Her voice showing every bit of emotion in her face.
Rio starts to lean in but Agatha stops her.
