Is that?

As the days slowly went by, Me and Rio got much more closer. She was exceptional at everything we did, from horse riding to arcane games. Even being an amazing girlfriend. She spent every second of every day proving herself to me, trying to make up for lost time. I did my best at staying up to speed with her and I have to admit, it is quite nice.

Right now it's seven p.m. and we are having brunch (we started way earlier) with the coven. The meals were delicious and the drama was really interesting, I haven't seen them in a while so it was really fun.

"And he simply said 'you will regret it'. Like is this tiktok or something? Anyways, I simply walked away laughing and he only got more angry!" I hear Jen yap and everyone around her laugh.

"He did not do that!" Billy says, barely getting out the words. "I promise you, he did."

The stories poured out quickly, one by one, each one seemingly funnier than the other. It became a familiar feeling, to be with all of them, telling stories, gossiping. Me and Rio made eye contact, smiling like little kids at each other. She takes her hand in mine as she tells one of her stories, giving it a tight squeeze.

"And that's that. I never saw her again."

"No way, this is like a cliff hanger!" Lillia shouts, clearly frustrated that there is no end to the story.

"Exactly! It has been annoying me for centuries. What a mysterious person, she was." Rio mumbles.

"Anyways, I need to take Billy home and go home myself. I have an early morning." Alice announces. "Lillia, do you need me to drive you?"

"That would be nice, dear. See ya losers." Lillia's attempt on being a 'cool kid' failled miserably and the silence set in. We all looked at each other, not muttering a word. I then hear Rio chuckle and the bursts of laughter coming from everyone else around.

"Lillia, that was a poor attempt." Jen barely gets that sentence out.

"Oh pooh. Let's just go, Alice." Her expression betrays her emotions, which are on the good side.

"Me and Rio will help you clean up and go home ourselves." I say happily.

"Aw, you really don't need to but thank you." Jen smirks, obviously planning something.

We say goodbye to our companions and go to clean up the living room. Jen's house is our hang out spot, due to it being always clean and a certain vibe to it.

"So... how are you two doing?" Jen smirks.

"Oh um good, good." I reply back, my cheeks having a faint blush on them.

"We've been great. Agatha's just amazing." Rio adds quickly.

"That's great to hear. Are you going to get married again sometime?"

I freeze up. I completely forgot marriage exists, I guess I lived in my own fantasy for too long. I'd love to get married to Rio some day, a dar far away from this one.

"We haven't talked much about that, but I would absolutely love to be wed again. Agatha's my soulmate, so even if we don't make it official in that way, it won't matter. My love for her is endless, so married or not married, I'll treat her to the best of my abilities." Her words make me calm down, relax. It seems like she always knows what to say and that terrifies me a little bit.

"Awh, you guys are too cute. It's sickening." She makes a vomit imitation while laughing.

We all make small talk and finish cleaning up. Me and Rio say our goodbyes and leave hand-in-hand.

"Can I ask you something? Just know that if you don't want to talk about it, you can always decline." She says with a certain vulnerability and I know exactly what she is about to ask me about. "Sure, go ahead."

"What Jen asked is really stuck in my mind. About the marriage. I know I asked you once before about it but would you like to be married to me again?" Her eyes look straight into mine with a soft gaze. She gives my hand a tiny squeeze, calming me down a bit.

"I haven't thought much about it but I actually would like to be married to you again some day. Just no children. I can't go through that again." I say with a certain fear in my mind.

"Of course not, I wouldn't want to put you and myself through that pain again. It's good to know where you stand though." Her smile is soft. "I would love to get married to you again. Being with you is making me feel whole again, happy."

"I'm really glad to hear that. You make me feel the same way, sweetheart." I say pulling her into a hug.

"Did you know that there is a living being underwater that can live forever?" She tries changing the subject.

And in that, seemingly insingficant moment, I know that I'll ask her to be my wife in the near future.
