'Till The End (Agatha x Rio)

Part 18.

Rio's pov.

I wake up and look around the room. I'm alone. Agatha is gone. I stand up and start going around the house, searching every room. She is nowhere to be found.

I go back to the room and see a note that I didn't notice before.

Rio,

I'm sorry that I left without a goodbye. What you said yesterday really freaked me out and I couldn't stay. I will be at the amusement park later today, we can talk there. I just needed some time.

Your truly.

I start recalling what happened right before I fell asleep and it freaked me out too. I'm so stupid. Why did I say that, everything was going along so well. I ruined everything.

"Rio." I hear Jen call out. "Did Agatha already leave?" I look at her with tears in my eyes. "What's wrong? Rio?" I don't answer. My troath feels like closing up.

I retain from eye contact with anyone that walked in the room now. I hear someone walk closer and envelope me in a hug. It's Alice.

"It will be okay, don't worry. Whatever happened will die out, you'll be okay." She whsipers, trying to calm me down. It doesn't really work but those words do bring some peace to me. "You don't need to tell us what happened but if you do want to, we are here for you. I'll be here for you, Rio." The thought of having a friend is very calming. I really like this feeling.

"We need to go to the park. Now." I say as I build myself up again. I pick up my things and march to the car.

"Wait, can't you just open a portal to there?" Lillia says confused.

"Oh um yeah, I just want some time to think about what I'll say." I reply shyly.

"Oh, well then let's go. It will only be a one hour drive." Jen says and we all get in the cars. I drive with Alice and Billy, Jen leaves with Lillia.

It's been 15 minutes since we started driving and I have created around a million things I could say to Agatha. I feel terrible. Everyone precieves me as death, which I am, but that's the only thing they see. I have feelings, I am sensitive and it hurts that no one can even begin to see that.

As we drive along, there is only 10 minutes left. My palms are starting to sweat, my heartbeat is going crazy. I don't want to lose her forever because of a mistake. I just felt so comfortable and I was really tired. I regret ever saying anything.

"We are here. You doing okay back there?" Alice announces.

"Uhh, not really but it'll be fine, right?" I ask with hope.

"Of course it will, she still loves you. Whatever happened won't be worse than what has happened in the past. I'm sure of that. Just explain whatever happened and try to stay calm, even if she isn't, okay?" Alice says all the right things and calms me down. "Okay."

I step out of the car and see Agatha standing with snacks and a small smile. I frown and it's obvious she saw that, smile dissapearing almost instantly. I think fast and smile immediatly, trying to act normally. As I stand frozen in place, I start sweating again and everything I thought of saying dissapeared. Alice grabs me by the arm and drags me towards Agatha. I try to stay in place, cat fighting my way. Before I know it, I am standing just a mere 2 meters before Agatha.

"Hi." I say shyly and let my head down slowly, looking at the ground.

I feel her fingers under my chin, lifting it up. She forces me to look up at her eyes again. I see the warm smile she has drapped on her face and it makes me feel safe.

"Why the sad face, love?" She blurts out and I get taken aback. Did she just- "Stop. Don't overthink. I'd rather have you answer my question."

"I- um. I just did a dumb thing and didn't even realise it and I'm really sorry, I just felt so comfortable and-" she stops me.

"I love you too." She simply says. "Just give me time, I won't take eternity to forgive you. I know it wasn't your fault but if I don't blame someone, I will spend every second blaming myself until it kills me." She doesn't look away from me for a second.

"It's okay, you can blame. I understand everything, don't feel sorry."

I look at her and she grabs the sides of my face, slowly leaning in. She stops just as our lips lightly touch, clearly teasing me. I close the little gap between us, kissing her softly. Even though the kiss is short and sweet, it feels like eternity passes in that moment. My heart is beating fastly and my breath hitches, feeling like it will never come back. Agatha pulls away, but not before giving me another peck.

"Consider this as a promise for the future."

Agatha's pov.

"Consider this as a promise for the future." I meant that with all my heart.

When I left Jen's place it was 2 a.m., driving around wanderesly. I fell asleep for a few hours when I got here in my car. Of course I love her, I have for over 300 years and I will never stop. It just took me by suprise, it hurt because I always blamed her for what happened, but it isn't her fault. It wasn't.

I grab her hand and intertwine our fingers. "Let's go have fun!" I say with a smirk, dragging her down to the gates.

It doesn't take long for us to find our first ride. The whole coven goes with us and we all get onto the ride after a few minutes of waiting. It's good at it's a work day and early morning.

"Billy, are you doing okay? You look, dare I say, scared." I say looking at him. "I'm fine, it's going to be so fun." I can see he is lying but the dedication is worth admiring of.

We all step onto the ride, me and Rio in the front. Alice is sitting with Billy, Jen with Lillia. As the ride starts I hear Jen scream. "I want to get off! Get me off!" I laugh at her. "Jen, it's way too late. Put on your big girl pants."

Everyone laughs, not noticing the first sudden drop of the ride and they get all taken by suprise. Me and Rio laugh like maniacs, finding this ride amusing. The idiots behind us are screaming out their lungs out of fear and adrenaline. I can't lie this is the perfect thing for everyone, I love it.

As the end is coming to an end, I remember the camera that will take a photo of us. I turn my head at Rio and see that she is already looking at me. We both look at each others eyes for a brief moment and lean in, getting the exact moment for the camera to catch us.

After getting of the ride, Billy goes to puke, Lillia sits down along with Jen and Alice is laughing at them while supporting Billy. The ride instructors hand us the photo and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

"Rio, look." I show her the photo and the biggest smile appears on her face. I am in huge trouble.
