Meeting The In-Laws

It was now 7:00 at night and dinner was finally ready me and Cara headed down stairs to the dinning room and were I would finally meet my future father in-law.We all sat down at the table and within minutes Caras father came into the room he was a tall thin looking man he ot was clear that Cara took after her father he smiled and nodded towards me and the he gave Cara a hug and kiss and then sat down at the head of the table.We were all tucked into our dinner which was servred by Eva and we were all talking about the wedding when suddenly Cara dad ( who told me to call him Derek) spoke up and said " How do you like the house? ".I looked up from my plate to answer Mr Bickerstaff "Its lovely very homely but when Cara was showing me around I noticed a room that belonged to someone named Damian I was wondering who that was".As soon as a spoke both Cara and her dad dropped their utensils and looked up at me with a wide mix of emotions anger,fear and worry. Derek was the first to react saying" Dale listen you are to go near that room ever again and you will leave well enough alone do you understand! ".Cara just looked down at her plate and looked up at me as if to say just agree and well talk later.I looked up at Derek and said"My appologises sir I did not me to bring it up forgive me ". He nodded and replied "No forgive me for my outburst it was rude now let's get back to the wedding talk.As soon as that was said Eva ran in and said "Sir you appointment at to the she stopped as soon as she realised I was there then quickly corrected herself. "The hosptial has been moved to earlier than expected you have to be there around 9:00".Derek nodded his head and then Cara said " Why dont you take Dale to the hospital with you so you two can get to know each other better ". Derek look unsure but none the less agreed and with that we all finished all meal and headed to bed we had a early day tommorrow.
