Jake: Untold Secrets Part 1

Seated in the HONNIB classroom with Isaac seated right behind me, I tried concentrating on the lesson without thinking about this riddle but I couldn't. It was just too hard. I wondered if the riddle had anything to do with our father, if yes then what? I was soon rudely snapped out of my thoughts with Isaac asking, "Bro, are you feeling alright?".

" Yeah, why?" I asked. Yes I was a bit confused by the riddle but I wasn't sick or anything. "Well, you just seem a little distracted today." replied Isaac. " It's nothing to worry about, really." I said. I didn't want to miss a lesson because of this stupid riddle. Giving me an unbelieving look, Isaac raised up his hand as the teacher was talking. What was he going to do now? " Yes, Isaac. What do you want?" said the teacher as she answered Isaac. " Professor, I don't think Jake' s feeling well," said Isaac. The professor gave me a look before saying, " Finally somebody said something. Jake, even I noticed how you haven't been yourself today. Is everything alright?" she asked. " Yes, professor. Everything' s fine." I said. " No, I don't think so. You know what? Isaac, you take Jake out of here. I have a feeling you need the rest." said the Professor. "  Of course, Professor." said Isaac instantly. " Wait a minute, what?" I asked as Isaac got up from his desk and dragged me out of class. I could see the jealous stares that were being thrown at me continuously as Isaac and I left the classroom.

As we walked through the corridors my mind kept wandering back to the past events. With this strange mysterious voice almost driving Twilight crazy and the kidnapping of my father, I just couldn't keep up with it anymore. " Earth to Jake," Isaac said as he waved his hand at me.
" Are you alright? You don't seem quite yourself today." he asked again. He was right though, even Professor Williams noticed.
" It's nothing, really. I just have a lot on my mind right now. I just wished this all never happened. If our family was just as normal as the others, if we didn't have a hybrid descent, then maybe we would be living a normal life right now." I said. Clearly the recent events were weighing down on me. Isaac stopped and sighed before he said " Jake, we're Netherbeasts. You belong to a supernatural group of people, whether a hybrid or not, would you really say our lives are normal? Humans live normal lives, we don't. Being supernatural is quite far from being normal, don't you think?" said Isaac. " Yeah, I guess it is. But honestly speaking, I just can't get my mind to rest. I can't help but wonder what those riddles meant." I replied. Twilight, Denzel and Rachel had already started asking for help from some Professors for translation. Who knows what lie they were using. " Really, bro? Why stress when Twilight, Rachel and Denzel are on it. Using the book of Torio, I'm sure they'll find at least one lead on what that riddle was trying to hint at. You know what? I think I might just know how to help you." said Isaac as we continued walking through the corridors. " How?" I asked curiously. " Just follow me." was all he said as we entered the boys' common room. After leaving our backpacks in our room, Isaac led me outside to the ground. From there, we walked into the dense forest.
No students were allowed to go off campus therefore, if one happened to be caught during the act, that would mean dire consequences for the student. " Would you mind telling me where we're headed?" I asked as I blindly followed Isaac through the forest. " Somewhere where one can find peace." replied Isaac. " And that 'somewhere' is...?" I asked again. " You'll find out soon." he replied as we continued walking.  This guy was starting to piss me off. Couldn't he just tell me where we were going? I had better things to do. " So are you going to tell me why you brought that key with you?" asked Isaac. What did he mean by that? " What key?" I asked, oblivious to what he meant. " The one in your pocket." he replied. Wait, I didn't have anything in my pockets. I then stopped to check and ended up pulling a key out of my right pocket. It was the one I'd picked up in the King's castle a few months ago.
" Oh you mean this one?" I said. " Yes,  I mean that one." replied Isaac. " I must've forgotten to put it back inside my drawer." I said. I still wonder why I'm even still keeping this key? " Well, any idea what it unlocks yet?" asked Isaac. " Not really? Maybe it's just a random key to a room in the castle. I don't know why I still have it though. I just feel...some kind of connection with it. Like it's telling me to keep and protect it." I said. In the past two months, I had thought about throwing the key away but for some reason, I just couldn't. " If that's what you feel then, don't let it go. No matter what. Not everything is as normal as it seems in Encers. Professor Williams told me that herself." replied Isaac. " I was never planning on leaving it in the first place." I said with a cheeky smile. " Whatever, we're here anyways." Isaac said as we entered a cave and came out the other side.
" Wow," I said as I marveled at the sight in front of me. It was a beautiful crystal clear waterfall. It just had to be the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in Encers. " It's... beautiful. No, it's absolutely marvelous." I said as I watched the little fish play in the water and the different animals drink water from the cool pool that was supplied water by the waterfall. From wolves, lynxes and horses to birds, like eagles, hawks and falcons, all these animals that were supposed to be rivals were peacefully sharing the place.
" I know right? After my sister went away with her boyfriend, I never really had anyone to share this place with. Michael and my friends were always too busy to come, the same goes for my parents." he said. That was so unfair of them to do that. Even though I didn't have many friends back in California, Twilight and mother always found a way to make time for me, to make time for family. " I'm so sorry to hear that. Did your sister ever come to visit?" I asked. " Not really. She only visited once when there was a meeting on who was going to be the next Werewolf pack Alpha. Come on, let's sit down." said Isaac before we sat down on the ground. " That's a bit selfish of her, don't you think?" I said. " I guess it was, but I can't just judge her without knowing the reason first." said Isaac. " Man." I said as I looked at Isaac in disbelief. " What?" asked Isaac. " You're such a softy." I said. " Whatever," Isaac chuckled. " Wanna hit the pool?" he asked. " Why not?" I said.
Standing up, Isaac slowly took his shirt off and threw it on the ground. I just couldn't help but drool at those hard abs. Seriously, Isaac looked like a Greek god without his shirt. Not even his shirt could hide how ripped the guy was. " Are you coming?" he asked, obviously noticing I was drooling, literally. " Yes, yes I'm coming. Give me a sec." I said before standing up and taking off my own shirt. I then turned to look at Isaac who was now starting to take his pants off. " Wait! Isaac, please just keep the pants on." I said, just in time. " What for? As far as I can see, we are the only ones here. Besides the animals, of course." he said. He did have a point. But I wasn't ready to see whatever he was hiding under there. " Fine, I'll keep the pants on." said Isaac. " Phew, thank God." I said before entering the water with Isaac following from behind.
" Cool, isn't it?" said Isaac. " Yes, it is pretty cool." I replied. " Jake," said Isaac. " Yeah?" I asked as he started to move closer to me. What on earth was he doing!? As he stood in front of me, no less than inches away from me, he held me by my waist and pulled me closer to him. I could feel butterflies in my stomach as he slowly removed the strands of my wet strawberry blonde hair that covered my face. " What are you doing?" I whispered with my eyes looking up at him. Without a word, he pulled me closer and tighter to him. " I...I don't know." he said. His beautiful, seductive pink lips were now only inches away from mine, I was now getting tempted. Suddenly, Isaac pulled away and said, " Jake, look!" as he pointed towards the key in my hands that was now glowing a bright red luminescent glow. " It's...it's glowing." I said. Isaac and I exchanged looks before he said, " We have to show this to the others.".
" Wait," I said, stopping him by holding his hand as he was about to leave the pool of water. " Thanks. You were right, not all things are as normal as they seem in Encers." I thanked him genuinely.  Turning back to face me, Isaac said " Jake, you're my best friend and roomie. Why wouldn't I help you? Now come on, let's get dressed and go.". Saying that, we got out of the water, still soaking wet, we got dressed quickly and made our way back to the Academy.
