tamao growls as he looks at Anubis, who is charging at him at high speeds; she then looks at the crystal ball in her paw and clenches it tightly, the Ball now beginning to sparkle with energy making her look at the ball in shock.
“ahh, what do I do it’s sparkling, tamao is going to be attacked!” she then tosses the ball at tamao the ball of energy shattering into a bright light that covers Tamao’s body once the light dies down tamao then steps on the ground small patches of a starry night show below his feet.
His body is now covered in a glowing starry design that goes around his whole body, surprising Millie. “whoa tamao, he looks so different.”
V then steps beside Millie and places his paw on her shoulder. “You see, my Princess, this is how a paradox form looks as you can see, tamao is now in a much different appearance; the paradox form will show up differently on different Companions; as you see, tamao has a galaxy; look to him because, he is a dark type Pokemon, and evolves under the moon this is the very reason tamao has this appearance.”
Millie gasps. “Oh my goodness, he looks amazing!” V chuckles. “Indeed, he does look amazing but remember he is a dark type, so that means if his type is weak to any other type, that type will defeat him quicker, but if his type is strong against any other rival type, he will defeat that type quicker, so yes it may be an amazing appearance, but that means if your companion like aurora for example.”
Aurora stands up & looks at V, confused. “Your aurora is an ice type; if he was to paradox form just like Tamao and you were fighting a fighting/steel type like Anubis, Anubis would defeat him quicker.”
Millie looks to her father “So, when I paradox form my Companion, the more dominant type they have In their DNA will be the type that they paradox form into. That’s very interesting, Dad.” V nods. “That’s not all; when your companion also paradox forms, and they are a certain type, like Aurora, since he is ice type, all his ice type moves will be buffed and stronger in this form until the rival defeats him.”
Millie scratches her head “then that means the form lasts until a rival defeats him?” V nods “correct, oh and one more thing since you have the crystal ball, it will need to be recharged after its use so use it wisely because if you are against a strong opponent to defeat them and use your crystal ball too early & the certain companion you send out is defeated, that crystal ball will no longer be of use so you will be stuck without an available paradox form Companion.”
“What then, how do I recharge it after use?” V smiles. “You must take it to a Pokemon center like your companions when weakened or defeated in battle.” Millie sighs in relief.
“Oh, thank goodness, I thought it would be crazy.” V smiles at her & laughs. “I thought the same way before I learned about Paradox forms, but it’s as simple as taking your companion to the Pokemon center so no stress can be upon you.”
“Thanks, Dad; I shall take this new lesson you taught me with me everywhere I go; now it’s time I get my team into perfect shape because I will be joining my first Pokemon tournament with the team I have.”
V smiles and then calls back Tamao, who loses his Paradox form and returns to his side, jumping happily around. “well, my princess I wish you luck on your first tournament.” He places a finger on her nose “I’ll be watching you, & your new ally.”
Millie’s eyes widen as she hears her father tell her he will watch her. “what, you’ll be watching me, really, Dad?” V nods his head and reveals to her an admission ticket to spectate the Pokemon tournament of the Arvi region, run by the grass-type gym leader herself.
“I can’t wait to see you battle in this new area with your team. I hope you’ve captured a few strong Pokemon to help you battle because I can tell you from experience that when I did my first tournament, I wasn’t fully prepared for a three-Pokemon-only battle.
I just had Tamao, who was pre-evolved, and Malenia, who was also pre-evolved. I didn’t have Anubis on my team yet, so it was a tough fight for only two Pokemon.”
Millie nods her head and shows her father four Pokeballs. “I have a full team of four; Dad, thanks to Onyx for giving me a few tips on what he’s seen on the Pokemon league online.”
“I’m so proud of you, princess.” Millie feels her father hug her tightly and holds him for a few seconds. “well, Dad, I better get going. It’s about to become nightfall, & I know that when night falls, the more dangerous Pokemon reveal themselves.”
V nods his head. “One tip, for you to deal with the nighttime Pokemon, Millie, you need to find a dark-type Pokemon, which is why tamao is always by my side when night falls because dark types are very effective against the night critters.”
Millie nods her head “thanks for the tip dad.” She then walks over to Anubis & Day “farewell Anubis.” She hugs Anubis from behind to avoid his chest spike & giggles as Anubis lets out a happy growl.
“I hope one of these days I can hug you against your chest because you have the best hugs.”
V laughs. “Anubis would like that too, Millie, but he knows his chest is dangerous but don’t worry, we’ll find a way to get hugs from the front of our cool jackal one of these days.”
He smiles, then Millie walks over to Day & hugs her happily as Day presses Millie to her chest & yips happily.
“Well, day, I hope to see you again as well because you are one of the motherliness types of Pokemon I’ve ever met; you feel like a mother to me.” Day purrs as she hugs Millie and rubs her back gently; she then let’s go of Millie and watches her as she runs to tamao, who leaps in her arms and growls softly as he rubs his head against Millie’s.
“see you around tamao, keep being the happy bundle of joy you always are.”
V sees Millie gently place tamao back on the ground. “be safe on the way back, Princess, and remember, don’t forget to recharge your Paradox ball.” Millie waves goodbye to her father and looks at Lex, “Ready to be off, Lex?” Lex nods, then waves goodbye to V & his team as Millie leads him out of the forest.

Onyx yawns as he looks at his watch. “Where is she? I don’t think it took her that long to catch two Pokemon; what do you think, zephyr?” Zephyr barks at him.
“No, that can’t be it; a trainer wouldn’t outsmart Millie; you saw how she battled that Former champion with the strategy; she almost defeated her until that lady used a cheat tool to buff up her Companion.”
Zephyr lets out a faint whimper. “I know, Zephyr, it’s almost getting dark, but we can’t leave unless Millie returns.” His rotom phone begins to beep rapidly, and he hears his phone say, “Rival trainer Magnus has challenged you to a Pokemon battle. Will you accept?” Onyx smiles. “Well, that didn’t take long. Let’s see who our challenger is.”
He then sees a trainer dressed in a long sleeve shirt, Pants, & scarf around their neck that waves at him.
“hello there, fellow trainer?” Onyx stretches his body and approaches the rival trainer. “hello there, are you ready for a battle.” Onyx fixes his cap and smiles at the rival trainer.
“I’m always ready for a challenge.” Zephyr then leaps beside Onyx and growls at the rival trainer, “Well then, let us begin, shall we, Onyx.”
