Chapter 11

Daemon and Rhaenyra find out about what happened between Aemond and Visenya. I hope you guys like it 🥰

Rhaenyra stood inside the small council chambers, the other Rhaenyra, Daemon, and their children, Aemond and Helaena were also present. Her son Aegon had also decided to be present, she knew he was upset that Mansy had been the one to find the other man in such a horrible situation. He was afraid that his wife would start thinking badly of him, even though Mansy had reassured him several times that it would never happen. The other Aegon was being released from the Black Cells and Rhaenyra had wanted the others present. It was time they learned that she would not allow anyone to go against her orders and her laws. Her husband had decided to stay out of it, he was supposed to meet with the knights from the city watch and he wanted to train with their sons.

The doors opened and one of the knights walked in dragging Aegon along. The knight bowed, released the man, and walked out, closing the doors behind him. He did not look well, his hair was even worse than before, there were dark shadows under his eyes, and he had lost some weight. The man looked like he had been tortured and Rhaenyra knew that in a way he had, he was a prince and had never been punished for the things he had done.

"I will allow you to walk free once more." Her voice was firm and cold, she did not want him to think that she was forgiving what he had done. "But you should know that if you attack anyone in my employ again I will not be so lenient."

"Lenient?" Aegon's voice was hoarse like he had been screaming for a long time. He gave her an annoyed look. "I am a king and you put me in the Black Cells like I was a common criminal."

"You are worse than a common criminal, most of the criminals I have met commit crimes out of necessity, you on the other hand do it because you can and because you think you will not be punished for it." She had dreamed of the things Aegon had done once he had become a man, the way he had forced himself on several women. She had also seen the way Alicent had hidden everything the man had done and had gotten rid of the women, telling them that they were partially to blame. Rhaenyra had worked very hard to make sure her son would not turn out that way, and she was not going to allow another man to act that way either, no matter who he was. "Believe me when I tell you that your punishment was lenient, because if it had been me who caught you trying to force yourself on a woman I would have whipped you in front of the entire city before throwing you in the Black Cells. I would not have allowed a healer to tend to you and you would have probably died once your wounds festered. So you should be thankful and realize that here you are not as important as you think you are. You are not a prince or a king, you are a visitor and you will obey my rules or you can face the consequences."

The man was not pleased by her words, his gaze was hateful as he took a step towards her. He did not make it far, her son immediately stepped between them and grabbed the other man by the collar.

"I would suggest you think twice before making a threatening move towards my mother." Aegon had always been very protective of her, it had not changed as he grew up and he did not allow others to disrespect her or threaten her. "I have no issues slitting your throat if you ever think of hurting my mother."

The other man seemed actually scared and Rhaenyra did not blame him, Aegon had been raised by Daemon and he could be intimidating when he wanted to.
Rhaenyra placed a hand on her son's arm while staring at the other Aegon. "Do not worry, my love. I am sure Aegon understands what will happen if he ever tries to hurt anyone ever again."

Her son still did not look sure, but after a moment pushed the other man away, almost making him fall. Rhaenyra would make sure to have people watching the man, she could not trust him and would not risk the people under her protection.
