After eating some of the pastries Y/N brought in, Jinwoo falls asleep with a full belly on a semi-comfy bed. He sleeps for a long time... so long that he missed the deadline for the daily quest...

Jinwoo woke up with a start, one from a strange dinging sound and the second from sudden shaking.

"E-EARTH QUAKE?!"

The strangest feeling came over Jinwoo, it was similar to going through a gate but at the same time it wasn't. For one, going through a gate is like going through a door. But this was like warping through another dimension. His surroundings quickly turned to sand, the thing he knew he was in a desert of sorts.

"TH-THIS PLACE...! A DESERT!"

The sudden heat and dry sand are his main hints of where he suddenly appeared. Jinwoo is panicked by his sudden surroundings changing. But what he isn't aware of at the moment is of something exiting the sand behind him.

"No way, is this actually a dream?"

A sudden sound stopped Jinwoo's panicking. It was loud and it didn't sound human. A large shadow also engulfed his figure. Jinwoo slowly turned around and came face to face with a gigantic centipede, above it were words colored dark red that said

'Position-Fanged Giant Sand Centipede'

Jinwoo froze and started sweating, not because of the heat but because there's a giant bug in front of him. The system then popped up.

The centipede reared up, its fangs gleaming ominously as it began salivating, seemingly thrilled at the sight of its next meal, Jinwoo.

'Nope.'

He turned on his heel and bolted as fast as his legs would carry him, screaming internally and externally.

Sung Jin-ah and Han Song-Yi both had the brilliant idea to have a last-minute sleepover at Y/N's apartment. Did Y/N have a choice in this? No she did not. So now the three girls were sitting on a cheap couch watching a new historical drama and were laughing at the surprisingly good comedy.

"Are we seriously watching this?!" Han Song-Yi snorted, nearly spilling her popcorn as she laughed at the chaotic scene on the TV. A centipede had just crawled across the desk in a royal courtroom, causing absolute mayhem among the palace officials. Even the emperor had gotten up and started running in circles.

Seeing this made Y/N reminisce of Solo Leveling's earlier chapters especially where Jinwoo didn't do his daily quest and... The smile left Y/N's face and her eyes widened in realization.

"Oh... no..." she whispered, eyes widening in realization. Her stomach dropped.

"What is it?" Jin-ah asked, glancing over at Y/N with concern. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Y/N covered her face with her hands, groaning. "I... I just remembered something. Poor Jinwoo..."

"Poor Jinwoo? What are you talking about?" Han Song-Yi raised an eyebrow, while Jin-ah looked even more confused, and a bit concerned.
