Dylan flew back to California. She needed to prepare for college. She was going into her junior year. Betty and Augustine flew back with her.
Dylan unlocked her front door. It was so quiet. No, Brendon, either. He was currently on his way to Japan. Dylan took her suitcase to the laundry room and then made herself a drink and had a sit down before she tackled the laundry.
As she sat, her phone vibrated in her purse. Dylan fished it out of her bag. She smiled when it was a message from her mother. She quickly answered her mother's text and got up to sort her laundry out. There wasn't much considering that Dylan did a load before she came home.
After doing a few chores around the house, Dylan headed to the supermarket.
Dylan browsed the shelves, looking for things to make meals for herself.
"Dylan?" She looked up, and it was Troy. She stepped back a little bit. "H-how are you?" He asked.
"I am doing well, thanks, Troy. I'm gearing up for junior year." Troy nodded.
"Dylan, I wanted to apologise for everything I did to you. I am so much better now. I have had regular therapy, and even after the court mandated finished, I continued. I have started dating somebody. I was honest right from the start about what I did to you and how I was trying to get better. Also, I am still doing my degree, but at a different college." Dylan nodded in understanding.
"Thank you, Troy." Dylan responded.
"Are you still with Brendon?" Troy asked.
"Yea. We are living together now. He's away on the world tour at the moment." They carried on chatting for a few more minutes and then went their separate ways. Dylan finished shopping and headed home. She unpacked everything and then her phone rang. Brendon.
"Hi baby, just landed in Japan. Are you home?" He asked. He sounded tired.
"Yea, Bren. I just got back from grocery shopping. It's so quiet here."
"So, you are all alone then?" Brendons voice had a seductive tone to it.
"I am." Dylan replied, smiling into the phone.
"Well then, tell me how much you miss me. Tell me what you want to do to me." Dylan proceeded to do just that.
They both finished up and then chatted some more.
"I love you, Brendon."
"I love you, Dylan." And they both hung up.

After eating dinner, Dylan had a look at the syllabus for junior year, had a bath, and went to bed.

Something startled, Dylan awake. She heard a noise. It sounded like the noise came from within the house. Ever since what happened with Owen and Troy, Dylan kept a baseball bat under the bed. She dug it out and listened. There were definitely footsteps. She picked up her cell phone and called the police. Whoever it was was on the stairs. Dylan inhaled sharply and positioned herself ready for whoever came through the door. The door handle turned. Dylan braced herself as the door opened. She was not prepared for who it was.
"Nico? What the fuck?" Dylan said. He wasn't alone either. Katy stood by the door.
"I needed to get Katy away from her home." Nico answered. "Her mother, Dyl. She abuses her. She's an alcoholic." Dylan ushered the 2 kids out of her room and back downstairs. They went to the couch and sat down.
"Does Mom know you are here?" Dylan asked. Nico was quiet. "Nico?" He wouldn't look her in the eye. "That's a no, then."
Katy sniffed a little. Dylan looked over at her.
"Katy?"
"I am sorry, Dylan. I didn't ask Nico to do this. I didn't mean for him to go to all this trouble for me. And to cause you any trouble."
"Katy, it's ok. Look, I will go and make the guestroom up, and you can get some rest. Nico, I will get you a pillow and blanket for the couch." Dylan smiled at both the kids.
When Nico and Katy were settled, Dylan messaged her mother to let her know that Nico was here, and he brought Katy with him.
Brendon had sent Dylan a Snapchat of him just before he went to soundcheck. Dylan sent a Snapchat of Nico on their couch.
Brendon messaged her.
'Wtf?' Working out the time difference dhe decided to call him. She knew Brendon was starting to get show ready. He picked up, and Dylan explained to him the situation. They talked for a while, then Brendon had to go get ready. He sent her a photo of him shirtless. It was a shirtless jam.
