Putting my bow over my shoulder, I ran out from under the tree at full speed. Wasting no time to think of the implications of the danger. I could barely sense the humans behind me with the bird in the air beside me. I was quickly communicating to the wolves. Sending orders to save the different animals that they came across and letting them know where homes were to save the ones I knew. They immediately raced out in front to heed my words. I turned to run in a slightly different direction, I knew what I had to do and I was not happy about it.
"What are you doing, the fire is that way!" Birdy's voice was panicked but I ignored him as I began to beg the wind in my head for its help.
Shortly after, the wind came to my aid, making my steps lighter and my gait wider. I speed up impossibly faster. A few of the humans were left behind, the blonde and the redhead being the only two that I could register that were able to keep up with my speed. I could tell they were struggling to keep up and I could feel the blonde using an explosion of power from his palms here and there to make sure he could stay with me. The bird picked up speed, keeping up with me while the wind helped his wings steady themselves. I was desperate to reach my destination, my legs strained at the speed I was pushing them. I paid the pain no mind, I was more concerned about the damage to the forest and the lives that could be lost.
Thankfully, I reached the river in record time. We were near the fire area and the edge of the forest, a minute or two away at a decent speed, but it was close enough to provide me some relief. My concentration increased as well as my speed. The humans shouted at me to stop. They did not understand why I was headed towards the river at full speed. But their confusion would quickly turn to amazement.
Getting closer and closer, I pulled towards my connection to nature. The grass around me began to glow, flowers growing at each step I took. The earth shook slightly with each of my steps. The shaking became worse as the earth began to fluctuate with each push of my foot. Bouncing until it came with me in large chunks. Pillars grew with each step I took until I was beginning to jump from one to another. I reached the height at which Birdy was flying as I hit the area above the water. But my height did not waver as the water came to meet my feet.
The water acted as a surface where I could run across. I ran along the current of the river, gathering more and more water below my feet. Reaching an arm out while I kept running, I touched the water that came to meet my hands. When one of my fingers grazed the water a white light rippled through it, personifying the water beside me. Animals manifested in the water. From horses to deer, wolves to birds, the faster the animal, the faster the water moved. The water below me brought me to the ground slowly as I took off once again. This time, with water beasts running with me in the direction of the smoke.
It did not take long for me to reach the area of the fire, but I did not stop running. The large stampede of animals made quick work of the trees that were blazing away. One by one, the animals ran into the trees covered in fire. Bursting on impact and smothering the orange flames. I kept running, a wave of the fires being extinguished in my path. Actual animals ran to meet me as I ran into the destruction, I knew we were reaching the edge of the forest, but their safety out of the smoke was my priority. I no longer knew who was around me, whether the humans were following or the bird, I only cared for the animals following my trail or running alongside me as they knew safety was where I was headed. I felt my wolves begin to meet my speed, running beside me after converging on my location, collecting and guiding the other animals. The water animals were slowly thinning out, but I knew there would be more than enough to last to finish off the fire.
Finally seeing the edge of the forest, I sensed humans on the other side, but despite my fear, I was only worried about the fire and animals around me. I watched Birdy land in front of a large man who had fire floating off his body. I pushed my anger aside for the time being as we finally emerged from the side of the forest.
