(Author's Note: Hey Creepers!!
Just wanted to put it out there that this one might become a story!!
Sliding that seed into your mind lol
Anyhow....
*runs away* )
We did not know who this person was. We don't know where he came from nor what his quirk is. But we cannot thank him enough. He is currently saving our lives. The shots ringing out throughout the streets echo in our ears. Watching him weave through the debris was like watching an artist create art. This man wore military green pants, a tight black t-shirt, and what I assume is a bulletproof vest strapped to his fit body. The only things on his face was a bandana tied to the back of his head to cover his nose and below with military goggles across his eyes. His hair was shaved down to the bare minimum on the sides with a bit of unruly black curls on top. If there were not as much smoke as there is, I would have been able to see the purple highlights hidden in his hair. Like I mentioned before, we have no idea who this man is. But the fact that he had a wolf about half his size weaving in and out of his legs rang some familiarity in my brain, yet I could not pinpoint from where. He held his guns as if he had years of precision under his belt. Dodging the counter bullets and debris being thrown as if it was not his first time in battle.
The way that his whistles echoed through the bullets, barely audible between shots but still directing the canine to different positions, shocked everyone. Even the villains had no dispute that could counter the soldier. I watched as he slowly cornered the villains against a bus wreck. Shooting to injure but not kill as he took one after another out. Finally, only a few were left as a sharp high whistle rang, causing the wolf to spring forward out of its hiding place by the soldier. It dodged and weaved between the debris being thrown by the villain made of stone. For a split second, it seemed as if the wolf teleported to one spot out of the way of a large boulder. Through the smoke and shock, it was hard to tell what was reality or a trick of the eye. Reaching the villains, the wolf took out the vulnerable men and women with ease. The distraction of the wolf made me lose sight of the soldier. I leaned forward a bit over the ledge of the building. Hoping to see where he had gone, only to hear a scream of pain. My gaze shot towards the sound to see a knife plunging deep into the neck of the boulder villain, right between two pieces of rock. His form shook and broke, rocks falling from his body to leave him free of rubble. Without hesitation, the soldier behind the villain gripped his neck and snapped it in the opposite direction. The man fell limp, tumbling to the ground in a heap.
My shock at the skill and ruthlessness of this villain could not have gone higher. A sharp note echoed, and the wolf left its victim it was standing over. Whether it was still tearing it to shreds or ensuring that the villain did not get back up, I did not know.
"N-Nezu.... Did you get all that?"
My friend's voice was shaky beside me as he held his phone to his ear. I pray that Nezu had hacked into the cameras and saw the soldier's actions.
"I did indeed Yamada. Please do not engage this individual, I fear he could take down even a top 5 hero at this point with the amount of skills that he has shown. Return to UA as soon as possible. I repeat, do not engage and return to UA."
"B-but we can't just let him go on a rampage!"
"Zashi, that soldier is no ordinary man. You have to realize that he has training, and we do not. We need to get back to UA."
"O-okay, but we need to figure out how to deal with all this."
"I know we d-"
A sharp note.
Too close for comfort.
Rang out near us.
Zashi and I froze. "S-shota. I-I think he found us." We looked each other in the eyes before looking to the right of us. Seeing what we had hoped not to see.
Standing tall with blood on his uniform while holding a gun in a rest position across his chest. The dusted gray wolf stood semi-behind yet tall beside the soldier, ears at the ready and head slightly bent as if prepared to pounce.
We stood like that for a minute or two. Crouched still, Zashi and I were too scared to move. This man portrayed an aura of authority and viciousness. Zashi went to start talking after a minute more of staring but was interrupted by a voice from a radio.
"Hunter. We need a report. Come in Hunter."
The soldier stood still for a moment as if debating whether he should answer or not. When he finally reached for a radio strapped to his hip, both of us flinched at his movement, despite how slow he began to move. What was odd though, was instead of a verbal answer, he began to press the button to speak in different patterns.
"Correct Soldier. You are to leave the Heroes unharmed. Mission is complete, I assume?"
More patterns were pressed into the button as the soldier continued to stare us down.
"With mission complete, return to temporary base. You have a meeting tomorrow. Tardiness will not be tolerated Hunter. Mission too important."
After more patterns, the voice returned. "If they are unharmed, yes, you may leave them in peace. I will report to Commander of your success. Return to your base. Over and out."The soldier replaced his radio against his hip without moving his sight from us. His goggles had a one-way mirror, making it hard to see where the man was looking. I felt desperate to even know a bit of what he was thinking. The man stood strong for a moment before moving towards the edge of the building. Walking with purpose while strapping his gun on his back. Another sharp whistle rang out, but when we looked to the wolf in fear, it only stood still for a moment. Staring into our souls as if it were trying to read them. When it finally moved, we flinched, only to see the wolf trot to meet up with the soldier who had reached the edge of the building.
My eyes went wide as the man, who I had no idea who he was, let alone how he got onto the building so fast, jump off the side of an eight-story building with a wolf leaping after him. Zashi and I sprinted to the other side after them, hoping to see if they were alive. Hearing the connection to concrete twice, we prayed that they lived through the jump. I reached the edge before Zashi did, but what I saw had my eyes wide still. Rather than bodies connected with the streets below, dents in the sidewalk were visible while I watched the wolf and soldier sprint away from the scene.
"What... The f-fuck... was that Shota..."
I watched for a moment more as the man managed to jump just right to ride their wolf at higher speeds through the crowds and traffic jams, shocking most civilians and any heroes on stand-by. Too shocked to stop or prevent him, the people let the giant wolf and soldier through.
"I assume you are both unharmed from the conversation I overheard as well as the camera that I have pinned to your location."
"Yes we are unharmed Nezu. But you better start explaining what the fuck that was. Who is that man? Do you have any ideas?"
"I have a suspicion due to the code name that was said over the radio. But it would be better for us to speak in person. Return to UA as soon as possible."
"At least tell us that the city is safe Nezu! You can't just not tell us if we are going to be killed off by a super soldier!" Zashi sounded paranoid and scared as he spoke, but before I could comfort him, Nezu spoke once again.
"The only thing that I will tell you is that the city is more than safe if that soldier is in town. I will explain more at UA."
"Why the hell would the city be more safe with him i-"
"I will not explain it again you two. I cannot share that information over a phone call in the middle of the city. Now come to my office before I dock three-month pay from your paychecks."
The venom from the phone was enough for Zashi to quickly hang up. We look at each other with nothing really sure of what had just occurred, but knew that we had to make it to UA as fast as possible. Not really being able to process what had just occurred, both of us began to roof hop, praying to make it in time. Hoping to get at least a semblance of an answer of what the fuck just happened.
