Chapter Twenty-Seven

TRE POV

"YO", I yelled through the house.

"What's wrong Nigga", Dre said coming down the stairs.

"Nigga have you seen Kash?"

"Nah what's wrong?"

"Nigga Skylar is labor and from what I've seen it ain't looking too good".

"I'll ask Dee", Dre said.

"Ima ask Kiana".

I knocked on the door and opened it.

"Aye have you seen-.

My jaw dropped.

"Nigga what the fuck?"

"KASH", I said shaking him.

He jumped out of his sleep and looked at his surroundings.

"Fuck", he said running his hands down his face.

"You really that fucking stupid cuh?".

"Nothing happened".

"Nigga fuck all that. Skylar in the hospital", I said and he jumped up.

"Why didn't she call?"

"Nigga check yo shit. Me, Skylar and Sis been blowing yo shit up".

"Damn", he said throwing his shirt on.

"What's going on?" Kiana said waking up.

I looked at her in disgust. Not saying anything, leaving the room.

KASH POV

"Nigga you been here all night?" Dre asked as I made it to the bottom step.

"Not right now", I said grabbing my keys and heading towards the hospital.

It took me no time to make it.

I walked in and saw my sister sitting and waiting.

"Sis where Skylar?" I asked walking up to her.

"Where the fuck have you been?" She asked.

"I fell asleep in my car. I was too drunk to drive home. Where is she?"

"In the back. They haven't said anything yet".

"Is she good?"

"I don't know Kash. There was a lot of blood and she went unconscious".

Fuck.

"What about the babies?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulders.

I began pacing through the hospital, thinking the worst shit possible and what could happen. I should've been there for Skylar. I should've just gone home. Fuck.

It's been 1 hour and we still ain't heard anything. I'm trying my best to keep my cool.

Everybody was here. Tre, Dre, Dee, Zy, Skylar's people, even Kiana came. She should've stayed her ass at home.

I looked over at Tre whose looks could kill right now. I hope he doesn't say shit about what he saw this morning.

"SKYLAR KENDRICKS", the doctor called out.

I took a deep breath.

"She's strong. She lost a lot of blood. We had to bring her back a few times. She's gonna need all the rest she can get. I'm putting her on bed rest for a week.", the doctor said.

"Oh god", Skylar's mom started crying.

"How about the babies?" I asked

"One of the babies was breeched so we had to perform an emergency C-section. However we did all we could but one of the babies lost too much blood as well and we were unable to save him. I'm so sorry".
