Chapter Forty Five

SKYLAR POV

LATER THAT NIGHT

I finally got Raiden to go to sleep. I ain't seen West all day. We never even talked about the condom I found. He didn't bring it up so I didn't neither. I just wanna see how long he waits to tell me.

A HOUR LATER ....

After a long hot shower, I poured me a glass of Taylor Port and rolled me a wood while watching my show. I started dosing off , when I heard a knock at the door. I looked at my phone and saw it was 3:01 AM.

"Who tf knocking at my door at 3 in the morning", I thought to myself.

I got up , looking through the peep hole.

It's Kash.

I opened the door and he walked in.

"Where Raiden?" He asked.

"He's asleep".

"Ima just go peep in on him real quick", he said taking his jacket off and putting it on the couch.

KASH POV

  she probably thinking I done lost my mind but I'm bout too. I can't shake losing my ma dukes. This shit is not it. I crept in the room and saw Raiden asleep in his bed. I went and sat beside his bed.

A nigga done went through so much shit and I hate it made me a Angry ass nigga. A nigga be mad all the time for nun. But I went and got right for my Raiden. Everybody think I'm the same Kash but I ain't. Just everything I'm going through triggering that shit cause I'm so used to wigging out. So it's hard to not show the old Kash.

"Nigga", Skylar whispered from the door.

I looked over at her.

"Come on , I don't want you to wake him", she said and I got up , kissing him on the cheek before walking out.

"You want some Taylor Port?" She asked.

"Yeah, give me only a little bit. Don't give me a lot", I said sitting down on the couch, taking the woods out my pocket.

"I can smoke in here?",I asked.

"Boy you see it's already smoked out in here. Don't do that", she laughed handing me the glass.

10 MINUTES LATER

SKYLAR POV

We sat on the couch , watching tv.

"So what's up with you?" I  turned towards him and asked.

"I'm chilling", He responded , hitting the wood.

"Come on , talk to me".

It got real silent for about 5 minutes.

"A nigga just started doing better and doing some for himself. And then my mama just up and die. A nigga can't win for losing".

"I can't tell you it'll be okay because I wouldn't wanna hear that if I just lost my mama", I said taking my hand and rubbing his back.

"It'll be okay , just not right now. Maybe 5 years from now or some shit".

"I miss you", he said looking over at me with them low red eyes.

"That Taylor port, got you feeling some type of way", I laughed.

"I'm serious. I done changed. I ain't the same nigga I used to be".

"Your drunk".

"I'm not drunk off that lil ass shit. I'm serious Skylar. I hate raising Rai in separate homes", he said.

"You gotta girl", I said.

"No I don't. I been broke up with her months ago. Im serious about You and My son".

"Kash , I love you . You know that but I don't think I can do us again. You hurt me too much".

He smacked his lips. "Come on Sky, you done did some green shit to me too. But I don't ever bring it up or say anything bout the shit. I just take all the heat. Just put everything on me".

"I'll think about it".

"Alright well let me know when you done thinking about it. I'm bout to go and try to get some sleep. You bringing Raiden to ma dukes funeral?" He asked.

"I don't know I said I was gone let him come to the repass but tomorrow is gonna be alot. I'm not sure if I wanna bring him into all that".

"Alright cool", he said walking out the door

I would love to raise Raiden in a household with both of his parents. But I don't know if Kash has really changed. A big part of me wants to believe him. But the other half , resents him & wants nothing to do with him.

KREATIVE POV

AFTER THE FUNERAL

Everyone's at the repass. I couldn't eat. Honestly none of us could.

I was quite disgusted and just wanted to go home. The nerve of the people that showed up to my mama funeral. My brothers been on that since the funeral but I been keeping them under control so far.

"Yo D can't we do this shit at yo crib with just us . Cause I need to smoke after being in here with these mfs", Dre said.

"Nah fr ian fucking with this shit", Tre chimed in.

"Nah Kay want us all here in honor of mama so we gone just wait until this shit over with", Dee said.

"Actually I'm ready to go now", I said.

"Kash?" I called his name.

"I been ready to go cuh".

"Alright I'm going to say bye to grandma . Meet y'all at the crib in bout a hour". I said getting up from the table.

I guess I got up too fast because I felt a sharp pain my lower stomach.

"You good sis?", Kash jumped up to help me.

"I'm good , I just got up too fast", I said brushing off his arm from around me.

After saying my goodbyes , I got into my car and headed home. My feet was killing me. I can't wait to get out of these clothes.
