As soon as everyone took their first bite of the kheer, their expressions quickly soured. They exchanged confused and awkward glances, clearly struggling with the strange taste. The once cheerful atmosphere turned tense, and the uncomfortable silence filled the room. Meanwhile, Kamini and Riya couldn't hide their smug smirks, exchanging knowing looks with each other.

Rudraveer's eyes narrowed, sensing something was wrong. His gaze flickered to the mother-daughter duo, who sat back, clearly enjoying the moment. Ishita, noticing the shift in everyone's reactions, began to worry. She had been meticulous in preparing the kheer, so what had gone wrong?

So, without a second thought, Ishita quickly scooped a spoonful of the kheer into her bowl and tasted it before anyone could stop her. The moment it touched her tongue, her face twisted in disgust. The kheer was too salty!

She gasped, realizing what had happened. "How... how is this possible?" she muttered under her breath, her eyes widening as she looked around the table, mortified.

Rudraveer's jaw tightened, his sharp eyes locking onto the smirking mother-daughter duo. His suspicion confirmed, he clenched his fists under the table, already sensing their hand in the sabotage.

Ishita's eyes filled with tears as the taste of the ruined kheer hit her. She couldn't believe it-everything had been going so well, and now this. The humiliation stung deeper than the salt in the dessert.

As she looked down, trying to hide her tears, her emotions overwhelmed her. "I just wanted everything to be perfect," she whispered, her voice trembling.

Rudraveer noticed the tears slipping down her cheeks. His anger flared even more as he glared at Kamini and Riya, who were still smirking. Without a word, he gently placed his hand over Ishita's, giving her a reassuring squeeze, silently promising that he wouldn't let this go unanswered.

Ishita squeezed Rudraveer's hand tightly, trying to hold back more tears. She looked around at everyone and spoke softly, her voice cracking, "I'm so sorry, everyone. I didn't mean for this to happen. I don't know what went wrong."

Virendra was the first to speak, his tone gentle. "Beta, it's okay. Mistakes happen. You don't need to worry about it."

Devyani nodded with a warm smile. "Yes, Ishita, we've all made mistakes in the kitchen. It's no big deal."

Rajeshwari added, "Don't be so hard on yourself. You've worked hard, and we appreciate it."

Samarjit smiled at her reassuringly. "Exactly. Don't let a little mistake spoil everything. We are all family here."
