"Anyone..." The sweet yet undeniably angry voice of the goddess echoed in the dimly lit room.

"My apologies, milady," a deep male voice replied from behind her. Though neutral, it carried an undercurrent of concern.

"Anyone but Loki...Why did it have to be her?" Freya ignored her attendant and continued to mutter, her grip tightening around the glass of wine she held. She sat in a luxurious chair, her gaze fixed on the full moon illuminating the night sky. Despite her disheveled hair and the frustration radiating from her, she remained as gorgeous as ever.

Silence enveloped the room as Ottar, her tall and imposing protector and one of her child, remained quietly attentive. He dared not utter another word, his eyes fixed on his frustrated goddess.

Freya was, of course, furious about how things had turned out. She had expected Kiyotaka to join her familia, but last second, everything had gone awry.

Crack! Ssshhk...

The glass of wine shattered under the pressure of her grip, shards piercing her delicate hand. Blood dripped from her fingers to the floor, yet no tears came to her eyes, her pain was overshadowed by her anger.

"...Milady," Ottar murmured, concern etched across his features. He took a step forward, but a single hand gesture from Freya halted him in his tracks.

"Just...why did Kenki have to be there?" she muttered in a low voice, her disheveled hair casting shadows over her striking silver eyes. Those eyes glared at a distant mansion situated in the 8th district of Orario.

The Twilight Manor-the current residence of the Loki familia and the very same familia where Kiyotaka had chosen to join.

In a dimly lit, spacious room, a chestnut-haired boy sat in a chair, his firm upper body exposed, with his toned back facing a red-haired goddess who wore a grin plastered across her face.

"Ya got a nice back, hot-shot!" Loki exclaimed playfully, giving Kiyotaka's back a light slap.

"Umm, thanks, but are you done?" he replied, tilting his head back slightly to meet the gaze of the goddess.

"Why? Ya shy or somethin'?" Loki teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Kiyotaka remained silent, his indifferent stare making her laugh nervously.

"Right, ya not one to shy away, bwhaha!" she chuckled, her laughter ringing in the air.

With a sudden burst of excitement, she bit her index finger hard, drawing blood, yet her grin remained unwavering. After all, she was welcoming another potential powerhouse into her familia.

Her pain was overshadowed by the joy that starkly contrasted with the jealousy simmering in the heart of another goddess in her residence at the peak of Babel Tower.
