Chapter 17 : Ground Zero

Third Person's PoV

"Sky! Distract them!" wika ni Zero at napamaang naman si Skyler sa utos ng kaibigan.

"Huh?? Paano? Eh ang dami nila dude!"

"Edi sumayaw ka, baka matuwa pa sila." asar na wika ni Zero.

"Just use your fucking brain damn it! Dala mo ba yung drone mo? Or any gadgets that you can use to distract them. You're a tech savy Sky, gamitin mo naman yan!"

"Pfft...marunong ka pala mamilosopo Dude..." natatawang wika ni Sky sa kabila ng delikadong sitwasyon nila. Sinamaan naman siya ng tingin ni Zero na nagpatigil sa pilyo nitong mga banat.

Napabuntong hininga na lang si Sky, but he knew Zero was right. He had to think fast. He reached into his bag and pulled out a small drone. With a few quick taps on his phone, he activated it and sent it whirring into the air above the zombies.

The zombies are now distracted by the buzzing drone, turned their attention away from Zero and Sky. They swiped at the air, trying to catch the elusive machine.

"Nice one, Ulap!" Flame cheered as they took advantage of the distraction to slip past the zombies and continue on their way. Napangisi naman si Sky, proud na proud sa ginawa niya.

As they ran, Sky couldn't help but chuckle. "I guess being a tech geek does come in handy sometimes."

Napa ismid Naman si Flame. "Lol, yun nga lang nagawa mong tama sa buhay, nagmagaling ka pa!"

"Chill babe, wag ka ma inggit sa achievement ko. Bawi ka na lang next life." Pang aasar ni Sky kay Flame

"Kadiri ka! Wag mo nga ako matawag tawag na Babe!"

"Babe~"

"Silence!" pabulong na saway ni Zero na nakapagpatahimik sa dalawa. Si Sasha naman ay tahimik lang na inoobserbahan ang paligid.

"Let's go and proceed our task..." Wika ni Sasha and they all agreed.

Hinalughog nila ang bawat bahay, tindahan at grocery store na kanilang nadadaanan, taking whatever food, water, and ammunition na sa tingin nila ay makakatulong sa kanila.

The streets are eerily quiet, with only the sounds and moans of the undead creatures that are still roaming around the city.

After several hours of searching, they've collected a decent amount of supplies, kaya naman sinenyasan kaagad sila ni Zero na bumalik na sa MESU.

Agad nilang nilisan ang lugar sa maingat na paraan, upang hindi ma attract ng mga zombies ang ingay ng kanilang bawat galaw.

The sun beat down mercilessly on the streets of Miami, Florida, as Sienna and Winter navigated their way through the city.

Their mission was clear: gather information about the virus, particularly its antidote, which was rumored to have originated here in Miami.

As they walked through the deserted streets, the remnants of the once vibrant city lay in ruins around them. Buildings stood abandoned, cars sat empty, and the only sound was the occasional shuffle of a lone zombie.

"Any idea where to start?" Winter asked in a cold tone.

Sienna scanned the area, her eyes settling on a large, dilapidated building in the distance. "Let's try on my Uncle Shannon's research facility." she said in a cold tone too.

As they approached the building, they noticed a group of zombies milling around outside. With a silent nod, they drew their weapons and moved in, dispatching the undead with ease.

Inside, the building was dark and musty, with equipment and papers scattered everywhere. Sienna and Winter began to search, sifting through the debris in search of anything useful.

After what seemed like hours... "I think I found something!" she said holding up a dusty folder.

They flipped through the file, finding detailed notes and formulas related to the virus. It seemed that the researcher had made significant progress before the outbreak occurred.

"We need to return immediately..." Sienna said, tucking the file into her bag. "This could be the key to stop the virus."

As they made their way back through the streets of Miami, the weight of their discovery hung heavy on their shoulders. But they knew that with this information, they had a fighting chance against the zombie apocalypse.

Kasalukuyang nasa loob ng isang convenient store sila Sasha, Zero, Flame at Sky. Pauwi na sana sila ngunit napapaligiran ng mga zombies ang daan papunta ng kanilang sasakyan kaya they decided na humanap muna ng safe place na kanilang paglilipasan ng gabi. May naabutan naman silang limang zombies sa loob ng store na kaagad nilang pinatumba. Dali dali nilang ni lock ang pintuan ng store para wala ng makapasok pa na mga halimaw.

"Eros... are you alright?" maluha-luhang tanong ni Sasha.

"Good thing I brought your maintenance with me.." saad pa niya habang nakatingin sa syringe. "I was so takot when I saw how your eyes turns into white and your pupils aren't visible na...And you suka pa ng blood..." she sobs

"Flafla... mukhang nahawaan na ni Snow si Sasha sa pagiging conyo.." bulong ni Sky na agad namang siniko ni Flame.

Hinihingal parin si Zero pero unti unti ng nanunumbalik ang natural na kulay niya na kanina lang ay parang naaagnas.

"I'm fine." seryosong tugon nito at dahan dahang tumayo mula sa pagkakaupo. Kunot noo niyang pinagmasdan ang paligid .

"Stay alert guys... I don't think we're safe he--" Zero's words were interrupted by an extremely loud explosion...
