After that we finally dressed up, we joined the rest of the members in the living room, still carrying that laid-back energy. I, now feeling slightly more composed, followed closely behind. The teasing had simmered down as everyone settled on the couches, but there was a shift in the air — a heaviness that hung over them all.
As we sat, it was J-Hope who broke the silence first, his tone more serious now. “As per today's incident, we must have to be careful from now onwards. Even though hazel and her brother are arrested…”
Taehyung’s expression hardened at the mention of Hazel’s name. His usual playful demeanor faded, replaced by a steely look. He leaned back on the couch, eyes focused on the floor as memories of that terrifying time came rushing back. “Yeah… it still feels like a bad dream.”
I sat beside him, my jaw tightening. My mind went back to the moment i found out about Hazel’s twisted obsession with Taehyung, and how she had gone to extreme lengths. The fear, the anger—it all came back in waves.
“I still don’t get how someone could go that far,” jhope muttered, his voice laced with frustration.
Namjoon, who had been quiet until now, spoke up, his voice calm but firm. “It wasn’t just obsession—it was a delusion. She wasn’t thinking clearly. People like her… they’re dangerous.”
Jin, sitting across from them, sighed heavily. “Thank god we found you in time. Hazel was unhinged, and her brother wasn’t any better. Helping her with all that… it could’ve been so much worse.”
I shifted in my seat, remembering the moment they had stormed. The thought of losing him, all because of one woman’s deranged obsession, still made my blood boil.
“Hazel and her brother underestimated us,” J-Hope said, his voice filled with determination. “They thought they could get away with it, but they don't know what we can do. They’ll pay for what they did.”
Taehyung nodded, but there was a flicker of unease in his eyes. “It’s just… I keep thinking, what if they had succeeded? What if… what if we couldn’t stop them?”
I immediately placed a hand on Taehyung’s knee, my touch grounding. “But they didn’t. We stopped them now, Tae. You’re safe now.”
Taehyung’s eyes softened slightly at Jungkook’s words, but the weight of the memory still lingered. “I know… it’s just hard to shake the thought that she could’ve really hurt you, jungkook."
There was a moment of silence as everyone absorbed the gravity of Taehyung’s words. The room felt heavy with the unspoken fear that still lingered from the ordeal.
Jin leaned forward, his voice steady. “We did the right thing. She’s locked away now, with her brother. They can’t hurt anyone anymore.”
Namjoon nodded in agreement. “And if anything like that ever happens again, we’ll handle it the same way. Together.”
I squeezed Taehyung’s thigh reassuringly. “We’ve got each other’s backs. No one is going to hurt us.”
Taehyung let out a long breath, the tension in his shoulders slowly easing as he leaned back against the couch. “Yeah… you’re right. We made it through, and we’ll make it through anything.”
The members shared a quiet moment of understanding. The ordeal with Hazel had shaken them all, no matter what happened, they would always protect each other.
J-Hope broke the silence with a small smile. “Let’s not dwell on it too much, huh? We got through it, and we’ll get through anything else that comes our way.”
