Two figures on horseback stood poised for battle, their steeds snorting and shifting beneath them, eager for action. On the left, Astoria tightened her grip on the reins, her dark hair tied back in a braid. Her gaze was sharp, eyes narrowed with fierce determination as she lifted her sword-- a long, gleaming blade that swallowed the sunlight. Astoria was more or so known for her aggressive style, a spirit that some had begrudgingly began to respect.

Across from her, Ares sat tall and steady on his mare, a chestnut color, his spear casually resting against his shoulder. His demeanor was calm, almost playful, a stark contrast to Astoria's style. But we all really knew Ares was the bigger aggressor, given he was the god of war. He flashed her a confident grin, shifting his grip on the spear. "Ready to lose again, Astoria?" he teased.

Astoria's lips curled into a smile, a light-heart chuckle slipping past them. "Not a chance, Ares. I'm just warming up."

With a sudden command, Astoria spurred her horse forward, charging towers Ares. The thundering of hooves or her mare kicked up dust as she closed the distance, sword raised dust high above her shoulder.

Ares reacted swiftly, guiding his horse to the side and pivoting, bringing the spear down to deflect her strike. The clash of steel rang out, sharp and exhilarating. Astoria pressed forward, their weapons dancing together as she maneuvered her horse around his, using agility to her advantage.

"Faster, Astoria! You'll have to do better than that!" Ares called out, his voice bellowing across as adrenaline surged through him. he thrust his spear towards her, the tip glinting dangerously as he aimed for her side. Huffing,  Astoria ducked beneath the strike with a swift motion, her blade arching with a sharp sweep as she retaliated against him. She aimed for his shoulder, their weapons clashing again, with a burst that sent vibrations up their arms. "Is that all you've got?" she shot back, grinning as she mannered her horse away from him.

Ares, pursued her, countered her with a series of quick thrusts, each aimed for her defenses. Astoria, parried each one with calculated precision, her movements sharp and aggressive. They circled one another, steeds moving in tandem, the sound of hooves pounding against the earth with the clashing of metal. Ares feigned a strike to the left, then swiftly pivoted to the right. He attempted to catch her off guard. But Astoria was prepared, her instincts honed through countless self training sessions. She sidestepped, her sword flashing as she aimed a precise cut at his arm.

"Nice tr!" Ares replied, narrowly avoiding the blow by leaning back in his saddle. The energy between the, crackled, a mix of camaraderie and fierce rivalry propelling their movements. "Hmph," Astoria charged one more, her blade aimed at his midsection. Ares raised his spear to block, the sound of their weapons ringing out like thunder across the amphitheater. They exchanged another set of blows in a whirlwind of motion, the sun casting long shadows as the fight continued.

Astoria's heart raced, each clash fueling the fire in her. She feinted left, then struck right, pushing Ares back with a powerful thrust. (Aye?) "You're getting slow, Ares!" she taunted, pushing her horse to close the distance once more.

"I'm just letting you have your fun!" he shot back, a playful smirk on his face as he rolled with the momentum, leveraging his horse's strength to regain ground.

With one final strike, Astoria pushed Ares to the edge of his endurance, their sword and spear locked together in a moment of stalemate. Breathless, they gazed at each other with a mixture of respect and exhilaration in their eyes. This was just another chapter in their ongoing rivalry.

AS Astoria and ares struggled in their moment of settlement, a flicker of determination ignited in Astoria's eyes. with a swift movement, Ares pivoted, using his spear to push against her sword. In a single, fluid motion, he disarmed her, sending her sword clattering to the ground.

For a brief heartbeat, Astoria felt the weight of defeat. But then with a strong resolve, she locked eyes with Ares, glaring at him. In a flash of energy, she raised her hand, channeling her weapon manifestation. From the air around her, a shimmering obsidian-like soared began to materialize, the blade glowing with an etherial light.

The crowd watching from the sidelines--a small group of three-- let out a cheer. "Come on, Astoria! Show him what you've got!" shouted Hermes. Beside him, Aphrodite, clapped her hands excitedly. "That's it! don't let him get the upper hand!"

"Astoria's just toying with you!" Athena chimed in, a penchant for sarcasm with a nudge for Astoria. "You know she can't keep up with you when you're serious." Astoria only shot Athena a glare. "How wise of you," she hissed.

with her sword now in hand, Astoria wasted no time. She charged at Ares, her movements fluid and graceful. Ares, was a bit surprised, but unfazed as her lifted his spear to defend himself.

Astoria ducked under the spear's thrust, the tip narrowly missing her shoulder and spun around. With a swift, decisive motion, she disarmed him, knocking the spear from his grip. It clattered to the ground, leaving Ares momentarily defenseless.

"That doesn't count," Ares spat, growing angry at the momentary defeat.

"Then let's see what you've really got," Astoria taunted.

With renewed determination, he dove off his horse for his fallen spear, rolling to his feet and grabbing it just in time. The moment he stood, he leveled his spear at her, a spark of excitement igniting his demeanor.

Astoria smirked, and guided her horse while Ares prompted to stay on the ground on his very own two feet. The two of them circled each other once more, the atmosphere electric with tension and cheers from the other gods around them. The trainmen ground became a state, where every strike, every feint, became a testament.

"Why are those two hotheads gifting again?" Athena turned, questioning the two other gods. Aphrodite shrugged, not really one for paying much attention now. Hermes on the other hand, was feeling mischievous and at some point conducted the whole even. He turned to Athena and responded.

"It might look unnecessary," he began. "But it establishes power."
