Thirty minutes was up before Sakura knew it. She sat across from Sasuke Uchiha with her arms crossed when her watch buzzed to indicate the end of the session.

"I'm afraid we have to end here for today, Mr. Uchiha." Sakura stood up and fixed her skirt by pulling it down slightly. Sasuke's eyes never left her, which was an eerie sensation she tried to ignore. Silence fell as she pulled her seat in and turned to the door.

"Someone will be with you shortly to escort you back to your ward. Have a good day."

"Something tells me I will, Doctor."

Sakura glanced back at him over her shoulder. He was staring ahead at the wall, eyes out of focus, like he was in deep thought. For a moment, she wished she could get a detailed log of what he was thinking, but quickly snapped out of it as quickly exited the room.

Sasuke remained in the empty room for several minutes. Living in this shithole was deeply insulting to him, but he understood the gravity of the situation. Naturally, thanks to his mole inside the institution, he could have escaped at any moment. Having that option dangling in front of him only made it more infuriating that he had to take time away from his affairs and sit idly in a damn asylum.

At least he was dead. Breathing felt easier, sleeping took less effort, and food tasted better - even in a place like this. Itachi was finally dead.

All he had to do was avoid a death row trial, and he'd be good to disappear again. They couldn't catch him for a decade, and he could play the same game once again. He just had to get through the psychiatric evaluation.

The door creaked open, and a familiar figure made its way to Sasuke,

"Get up, time to take you back." Izuna unlocked the chain that kept him tied to his chair before silently leading him out of the room. The guard from earlier grinned at Izuna,

"Yo, I could have taken this piece of shit back myself."

"You put up with enough of his bullshit, guarding his sessions every day." Izuna responded lightheartedly. He hated every single guard in this facility, but his good standing among staff members was a core part of his undercover work.

"Ain't that the truth," the guard jokingly punched Izuna's shoulder before leaning back on the wall. "I'll see ya around, Shino."

The two Uchihas walked down a corridor in silence. Izuna unlocked the ward and led Sasuke inside before immediately closing the door before him.

"Shino, huh?" Sasuke chuckled as his cousin quickly removed his handcuffs.

"I had to pick a name at random. How are your bruises?"

Sasuke paid no mind to the question. He stood in the center of his ward, rubbing his wrists. "Three handcuffs, Izuna? Really?"

"Hey, orders are orders, boss." Izuna laughed. "How was the new doctor? You're not going to act out again, are you?"

Sasuke silently walked to his bed - or rather, the less than twin-size concrete frame - and sat down quietly. Izuna sighed at the lack of response,

"Sasuke, I'm serious. You need to get this clearance. Just pretend to be, I don't know, reformed or something until you're taken off death row. I'm serious, Marcus-"

"You're dismissed, Izuna." Sasuke stretched out his limbs after being restrained all day. He then knelt down and began doing push-ups, despite the pain it caused him in his weakened state.

"Are you sure this is a good idea? Your injuries-"

Sasuke glared up at him in the middle of a push-up, causing Izuna to bite his lip mid-sentence.
