Dr. Sakura Haruno spent thirty minutes standing in front of her closet the next morning, occasionally pacing a couple feet back and forth before going back to browsing through the same collection of clothes she knew by heart at that point.
What the fuck should she wear?
First of all, no man was going to tell her what to wear. Fuck that. She even looked up a color wheel and found that the opposite of color red was bright green. She remembered this one old crop top she bought a while ago, so she could totally work with that. Maybe the green top and a longer skirt to make the outfit less promiscuous? That would teach him.
On the other hand, he may not respond well to that. What if he got offended by her gesture and decided to shut down?
"If he shuts down, I'll give him the fucking death penalty!" Sakura groaned, frustrated at herself for how long this little decision was taking her. Of course, she wouldn't put him on death row just because of her failing to have him open up. Still, knowing that she held power helped her remain collected.
No, she didn't want to risk him shutting down or turning hostile toward her. But she also didn't want to show him that he could just order her around like that. She was the one in charge here. She was the doctor.
Sakura checked the clock. 8:03 A.M. She had about thirty minutes until she had to leave her apartment. In other words, she had half an hour to figure out what the fuck to wear.
After her third mental breakdown, an idea popped in her head. It seemed stupid, unprofessional, even. For some reason, her brain refused to think past this thought. It could go very poorly, but this would be a vital experiment for her. An experiment to see if she had a baseline understanding of how this man worked.
Worst case scenario, she'd do some damage control and update her approaches with the new data. She smirked as she walked to her dresser.
Sasuke Uchiha's spiraling train of thoughts was interrupted when he heard the door open in front of him. Finally. The guards always brought him to this chamber 5-10 minutes before his scheduled sessions, which forced him to sit quietly by himself. At least his wrists moved more freely now. Marcus was good at his job, as much as it seemed to annoy the guards.
He looked up at his companion as she walked inside and hung her white coat from the back of her chair. She wore a cream long sleeve top with a formal black skirt.
His eyes followed her around with a malevolent gleam. When she sensed his hostile gaze on her, she gave him a quick side glance which almost dared him to speak his mind.
"Good morning, Mr. Uchiha."
Unamused by her chipper tone, Sasuke's eyes darkened instantly.
"I told you to wear red."
